I like the fact that this battle didn't lead to some absurd fanfiction writing where the characters gain planet destroying powers, or that one of the two characters was going to face a genuinely gruesome death. It actually feels like something that would happened if JoJo and Edward got into a fight.

While Edward has an advantage in his power set, Joseph is a strategic master who defeated the Ultimate Lifeform. Edward is a kid who be easily pissed of and lead into be more rash. He is also much weaker without assitance from Alphonse while Joseph can be completely independent as he continued even past Ceaser's death.

I have to disagree. Yes Ed at the beginning of the series was quite immature and was easily manipulated by making fun of his height, but after his 2nd fight with Scar, he has matured a lot more and fought more strategically
I love one minute melees because they don’t always straight up kill the opponent and the fight has some sort of ending that doesn’t involve the winner just standing there
Ah. I miss hamon. Honestly, you'd think a technique capable of slowing down your aging, manipulating living creatures, obliterating vampires, and speeding up your healing process would be extremely valuable, but when they introduced stands, hamon got practically no use whatsoever.
The issue was Hamon was pretty overpowered, and it's only weakness was either restricting one's ability to breathe, or restricting blood flow. You can see it in part 1 how Araki is somewhat at odds with trying to make scenarios in which Jonathan can't just obliterate his opponent in a single bout with hamon. Not to mention, stands allowed fights to be based on much more then just physical strength alone. They allowed each fight to be far more interesting, with each stand user having different abilities that they could use in a variety of ways. Hamon just really can't compare with stands in terms of being a reliable battle mechanic.

Mario Almanza it DOES effect humans,ultimate Kars used it and melted Jospehs knee. Hamon is Sunlightenergy and if you touch the sun you would get injured,so it does effect everything when its strong enough

It's totally worth it. Mind you, it starts off slow and sometimes the scenarios make no damn sense, but it only gets better and more charming as you watch it.

The plot development as well as the characters grow ( in some cases) is really nice. As well as JBA is like a cult anime, like evangelion, cowboy bepop, one piece. Is not something you should watch only because is popular and well known, but because is a really good anime." p.d. The first arc is kind of slow. I consider the second one my favorite the 3rd is really nice and the forth one is actually been animated. but if I am not wrong there are like 7 arcs in manga rigth now.

Well tbh Edward is town level and Joe is multi city block so there's at least a tier difference. Joseph is slightly faster but the strength difference is enough for Edward to take victory, he was also more motivated to win and more skilled. I don't even watch the shows, I researched feats.

Joseph could outpredict and outsmart Edward if he can survive Edward's alchemy long enough, but Edward knows how to get some insane things done with his abilities.
Not to mention Joseph's hamon is only really effective against vampires while his other most powerful attack, a trick with multiple grenades will be ineffective considering Ed has survived point blank grenades and much much bigger explosions point blank only coming out angry with little to no scratches or anything.

I have to disagree. Yes Ed at the beginning of the series was quite immature and was easily manipulated by making fun of his height, but after his 2nd fight with Scar, he has matured a lot more and fought more strategically

Ah. I miss hamon. Honestly, you'd think a technique capable of slowing down your aging, manipulating living creatures, obliterating vampires, and speeding up your healing process would be extremely valuable, but when they introduced stands, hamon got practically no use whatsoever.
Read part 7/8 if you want something that's stronger than stands.

The issue was Hamon was pretty overpowered, and it's only weakness was either restricting one's ability to breathe, or restricting blood flow. You can see it in part 1 how Araki is somewhat at odds with trying to make scenarios in which Jonathan can't just obliterate his opponent in a single bout with hamon. Not to mention, stands allowed fights to be based on much more then just physical strength alone. They allowed each fight to be far more interesting, with each stand user having different abilities that they could use in a variety of ways.
Hamon just really can't compare with stands in terms of being a reliable battle mechanic.

The plot development as well as the characters grow ( in some cases) is really nice. As well as JBA is like a cult anime, like evangelion, cowboy bepop, one piece. Is not something you should watch only because is popular and well known, but because is a really good anime."

Well tbh Edward is town level and Joe is multi city block so there's at least a tier difference. Joseph is slightly faster but the strength difference is enough for Edward to take victory, he was also more motivated to win and more skilled. I don't even watch the shows, I researched feats.

Well, Edward has good offensive abilities but defensively he can't tank many attacks, so even with research joseph would have won !
Joseph could outpredict and outsmart Edward if he can survive Edward's alchemy long enough, but Edward knows how to get some insane things done with his abilities.
Not to mention Joseph's hamon is only really effective against vampires while his other most powerful attack, a trick with multiple grenades will be ineffective considering Ed has survived point blank grenades and much much bigger explosions point blank only coming out angry with little to no scratches or anything.
