The Fieldpiece SVG3 Digital Micron Vacuum Gauge is a compact, rugged gauge that is loaded with features HVACR professionals need to help them do more. The Fieldpiece SVG3 includes a large, dual display with a rate indicator, alarms, timer, rugged rubberized case, and a hook at strap that allows the vacuum gauge to be hung at any angle.
The Fieldpiece SVG3 Easy View Vacuum Gauge contains features to make evacuations easier and faster. The display has a bright backlight for high visibility in any situation. To minimize leaks the Fieldpiece SVG3 has a Schrader depressor that can connect directly to your core removal tool, or directly to the service port. Fewer connections reduce the potential for leaks unrelated to the system. The rate indicator helps determine if there are any leaks within the system.
When the vacuum reaches the low alarm set point, an audible alarm triggers, the backlight flashes, and the integrated stopwatch restarts to show the technician how long the system has maintained a deep vacuum. You can set both high and low alarms. And the timer can display how long it took to get to the alarm and how long the vacuum has been maintained.

This comment doesn't make sense. This if for measuring a vacuum during the evacuation process
Why didn't you make it magnetic also.I guess that will be on the next one
Eagle Mechanical Refrigeration/Hvac Durham N.C so after i pull a vacuum with this tool on a new condenser, and i backseat the king valves to release the freon into the system, wont the freon and oils and pressure get inside the micron gauge itself? or after vacuum i take micron gauge off before releasing freon but then the depressor will have a brief time to let the vacuum escape

What does the rate of change mean?
The rate of change helps you anticipate if your vacuum test will pass or fail. Therefore you waste less time.
Example: say you gauge reads 500 and your targeting 1000 mics in 10 mins. if the rate of change is 100 mics per minute, you will reach your target in 5 mins. FAILED TEST
However if your rate of change is 10 mics/ min then you will only at 600 in 10 mins. PASSED.
Saves you the waiting time. Hope i explained correctly.

I have owned two of these field Piece of Sh%@!Both had the same problem occur.They read Open line "OL"I will never buy another one, field piece dropped the ball on this product. I am not the only one with this problem.
TheHandofGod this only happens if there isn’t a good enough vacuum being pulled right?
I see OL at first too but then it begins to read.
I think it reads that when it has atmospheric pressures on it
🤔 is your vacuum pump working properly are the seals for the hoses and CPS VG sound did u change the vacuum pump oil
I love this micron gauge anyone who doesn’t obviously doesn’t know good tools and probably buys their tools at the local gas station
So far, I’ve had no problems with this tool.
