A bit long, but I really like the way you two did this review. Very informative and I love all the comparisons. Charlie and Chris - you did a great job.

I like this format. It seems more genuine. The outside looks blue to me. Especially when you were showing the running boards, you could see it in the door jams.

GM finally caught up on the interiors. Very impressed with this

The reason they still have the heated seat Buttons is because it’s retrofitted so when the chips come in you take it to the dealership and they install them.

Unpopular opinion, but i think GM has the best full sized truck interiors now. IMO the wide horizontal screen that just looks more premium to me than the vertical one in the Ram, or the one that literally looks like a laptop screen in the Ford. Also the fact you get Google built in is the icing on the cake.

The buttons for the heated seats don’t work but they are there because they will retrofit the feature at no cost after chip availability

I like this video format. It's good to see basic stuff like the start up screen. Can you also talk about how long it takes for the infotainment to boot up and connect to Carplay/Android auto?

Good suggestions! Yeah we'll start commenting on that in the infotainment reviews

Heated back only is for people who have a bad back. This is something my dad uses all the time

Makes sense. Sometimes I wish it was vice versa. My back gets more overheated/sweaty before my butt and legs do, but sometimes it's nice just to have some baseline butt/leg heating on a cold winter day.

Great review as always fellas. I recently drove both a 2023 F-150 and a 2023 Silverado 1500 back to back and have to agree with your assessment of the better quality of the Silverado interior. I also felt that the Silverado had more “Feng Shui” and felt like a nicer place to be.

Good engine, minus the lifter issues

You guys did a great job with the video. I am looking at buying that same truck with the diesel motor.

The uneven blinker tone is due to the front signal being progressive.

American cars all had column shifters in the old days. The cool foreign luxury cars show up without them. American car companies want to be perceived as cool and luxurious so they don't use column shifters in their "luxury vehicles".

Love the new GM trucks, I do like the look of the Sierra better than the Silverado, specifically the AT4 variants.

A bit of constructive feedback, though this applies to all car reviews, not just Daily Motor. Is it just me, or do you start to hear alllllllllllll the same words and phrases if you read/watch enough car reviews? “Solid,” “premium,” and “special” being the dirty three in my mind in terms of vague and overused buzzwords, “refined” and “confidence inspiring” being some of the others. There should be like a bell or buzzer of some sort like we had in middle school debate class when we’d say “ummmmm,” “and,” “uhhhhhh,” “so,” “ummm,” “yeah,” but for all those words when writing/filming. I like the new video format though! Very natural flowing conversation that was enjoyable to listen to.

What do you want them to do? Make up new words to describe the cars? 😂

    • @DailyMotor

Thank you! Do you have any other words you recommend? We’re heading out now to start the 3 series review.

You're not wrong but I don't see a point of using complex words to describe simple things.

I wish Chevy would bring back the El Camino in a small truck form to rival the Ford Maverick.
