What a delightful stuffing recipe! Truly so. One special note: whatever the context, Margaret shines through consistently as one who is pure in heart: authentic, thankful, open, giving, empathetic, and prayerful. She is, as such, a joy to behold.

I know many people like the flat wing, but I prefer the drumette. Looks good, and I always put extra sage. 😋 That is a beautiful kimono. You did goodCorey. 🙏🏻💖🙏🏻
Long ago my aunt would buy alot of chicken necks, boil them and when they were done she'd get her a medium bowl and fill it up and suck on those neck and use her teeth to get the meat. I love that big ol pot, is that a crock pot?
I have made my stuffing like that when I couldn't afford much the only difference is I put celery in my and bake it in the oven..I generally make cornbread dressing.
I enjoy watching your videos & your Scripture Reading & Prayers have been so comforting to me as I have been going thru the loss of my sister. You ARE reaching us in TH-cam. Thank you Maw Maw & Corey. LOVE YOU ❤️

Hi Mamaw💜 Hi Cory and all the family. I’m a new watcher to your channel and am thanking God that I found you all. I enjoy seeing all the yummy recipes and most of all, hearing you read God’s Word and pray. You have been such an encouragement in my life. I’ve been going through some emotional issues and would ask you to please pray for me. God is my strength, this I know. I’m just going through a rough spell right now. We used to live in Falling Waters, WV way back in the early 2000. We are in PA now in the town where we were raised. Praying God watches over and blesses you all in a mighty way. Sending love. ❤️
Lord I come to you asking you to strengthen her and help her thru these rough times help her to hold to you Lord and we know you are holding to her and we thank you Jesus knowing you will bring her thru Amen in Jesus name
That looks delicious Maw Maw. Yes I agree the sage makes the dressing. My Mom use to actually cut her bread into cubes and put it in a brown paper bag to dry it out. She was meticulous about her cooking methods. 😂❤️ She was a wonderful cook though. ❤
I love you Margaret snd the turkey looks good but I would never serve stovetop and light bread as a Thanksgiving stuffing/dressing ! Try some cirnbread dressing it is moist and delucious when nade right! My Mom a made stuffing which us super moist ans My MIL who was a cook until 80 made a famous edressing that I do. So good i make 2 huge pans and all is eaten !
Mamaw that looks delicious I use light bread and cornbread and onion, celery, eggs and spices in my dressing Also I think companies need to make packages easier to open because if you have arthritis it's hard to open them 😊
The way you make your dressing is similar to the way my mom made it over 55 years ago. She always made hers with both homemade cornbread & bread usually made a day or 2 before. She always used chicken broth since they sold eggs & usually had close to a thousand chickens so a chicken was always available.
Looks good!!! Very similar to how I make my crockpot dressing. I use 1 bag of Pepperidge Farm Cornbread stuffing mix and 1 box of Stove-Top Savory herb. No light bread. If it's too thin (usually because I added too much broth) I add crushed saltines, like my grandma did. (She used homemade cornbread, and biscuits to make her dressing.) We like it with onions and celery and poultry seasoning, plus a little sage, since the poultry seasoning doesn't have enough to suit us.
That’s how my grandparents and then my parents and now I do the stuffing with a few loaves of bread. That’s all I use is the bread but they always used white bread… I kind of tweaked it with using potato bread. I find the potato bread has a little more flavor. I’ll add an onion to it and then used regular water and seasonings and mush it by hand. I use some of it to stuff the Turkey with and whatever is left over goes into a loaf pan. Cover it with aluminum foil and it will sit on top of the stove since the top also gets hot from the oven. And then when I take the Turkey out will add a little butter to the top of the remaining stuffing and place it in the oven to bake a little bit for maybe about 30-45 minutes. Comes out so good.
i rather make that kimono as a bath robe, im part japanese caucasian i was taught the japanese customes of kimonos, (my RIP grandma from japan sent me a kimono way back in the late 1960s..i never met my bachan (grandma in japan),, never spoke to her, wish i did meet Bachan Kuraba !!
I make my dressing with lightly browned day old cornbread and in the oven. It’s yum and not dry at all. Of course it’s runny before I put it in the oven, and I cook it on 450 for about 15-30 mins. I just cook the breast, so my broth isn’t that rich, so I use a carton of broth and I do add celery and onions.
I never put raw eggs or milk in my dressing. I use dried out corn bread with chicken stock, celery, onions, fresh herbs, butter and I bake it at 425 for 45 mins. I want to be able to cut my dressing from the pan. No offense to Margaret, what she made is too mushy for me. I am sure her family loves it and that's all that matters.
This looks like a wonderful dressing. The only thing our family has to keep out is Sage. It is so weird how people have different taste buds. Some people love sage, and some people are like us, and we can't stand sage. I use an electric roaster so that I can collect my broth. I need a lot of turkey broth because I need it for the dressing, the gravy, and the mashed potatoes.
Hello! Sweet family! ❤️❤️ Happy Late Thanks Giving!❤🎉 Sorry I have been missing your videos a few months! My mother is 95 and needs care! God Bless all of you!! 🙏💖
Are you kidding! The neck is my favorite. That is the first thing I go for so succulent and juicy. I bought a bag of necks one time and roasted them with garlic, lemon pepper, oregano, and thyme.😘 thank you for the video and a very happy Thanksgiving for you with the Lord❤
That Tsunami Mamaw talked about happened on Christmas Day in 2004 in the Indian Ocean and ultimately killed 250,000 People. I remember it very well and all the death and devastation in Thailand and Sri Lanka. 🙏🙏
Hi Corey and Ms.M.!!! I got a roaster like that last Christmas 🎄. I wanted a red one like Ms.M s but they got me a silver one.. Anyways I have not used it yet. I never made dressing because my dear Husband♡ always made it...Your recipe looks very delicious...Thanks for the readings and prayers...Take Care and GOD...Nice Video!!!...🦋
I can't believe Mamaws Mother didn't make cornbread dressing ! Our favorite part of the meal ! I thought all Southern people made cornbread dressing ! I do add biscuits or loaf bread.
we always use stove top stuffing on the stove, or with our turkey dinner in the box has all the sides, especially the stuffing our stuffing was a smoke kalua pig stuffings it was good from our turkey dinner in the box we bought at kaneohe foodland grocery store, was kinda dry, but we added butter and little bit chicken broth to juice up our stuffings, i love the OLD traditional stuffings!!!
I make my dressing like my grandmother. A box of Jiffy corn bread, onions, celery, green onion, eggs, one potato cooked and mashed and stale hamburger buns. For a full box of cornbread I use 2 packs of buns. For 1/2 of a box I use one pack of buns. So I boil down my turkey neck and set that aside. I pick the meat from the neck. I chop the turkey liver, heart and gizzard and cook down in butter. So I cook down the chopped vegetables in butter and oil then and my breads crumbled up. Then add the meat and giblets. Slowly add the broth from the neck a little at a time until it the right consistency. Put it in a pan and bake. Then add gravy on top! Everyone loves it. We have never like the taste of sage. It’s all what you are used to! Happy Holidays y’all!
I have to admit my husbands gonna make roast garlic pork (roast kind), with rosemary and alot of garlic and pork gravy soooooo delicious he is a great cook i have to admit!!!! this is tuesday he will bake it.
i love the turkey wings and part of the big drumsticks of butterball, then last is the breast meat i love, with onolicious turkey gravy..i love thanksgivings!!! Oh i also LOOOVVVVE TURKEY SKIN OR CHICKEN SKIN...YUMMY XOXOXO

@@joyce9523it’s very, very hard. I know. I have not born all the losses you have, dear one, but I have had significant losses and do empathize and feel with you and for you. I’m southern and a retired as chef. We make cornbread dressing. And use chicken breast for the meat. I throw away the neck and giblets. Also No sage!!! I didn’t see you add in the “ holy trinity “ If you will take the time to sauté your vegetables, onions, celery, bell peppers. Aka Holy Trinity. It makes all the difference. In either kind. But I made 2 huge pans of both kinds. Baked max and cheese , cranberry salad. I got the recipe from Marie at “ Southern country Living”. I found it last year and It’s Delicious!!!! Pepperidge Farm with onion and celery and low sodium chicken broth is the bomb
I agree. I add cornbread and bell pepper beside what you add as well. Pepperidge Farm has everything you need in it.

Wonderful food. Please keep praying for me.
I cook my dressing for one hour to be sure everything gets cooked.
To me stuffing is what is stuffed in the turkey. Dressing is cooked in a pan.
I saw a chef say that the other day and she also said never put cornbread in the stuffing. Only in dressing.
Sometimes less is more, instead of throwing everything together...
Looks good I use sage in mine also but don’t like mine mushy
Looks delicious ❤ enjoyed this God Bless y'all
This looks good I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving
Hi!!! I had to watch again to see the pretty Kimono. My dog needed attention...anyways...its very beautiful!!!...🦋
Needs finely cut celery and cooked sausage. Bread needs to be toasted and stale. Texture means everything. You make mush.
I don't know what that was she made it sure wasn't dressing.
Looks so delicious!!!
Thanks for adding this recipe.
From a box no!
