@@rucharesakaruru If you don't do Crystal Tower you don't know who he is, so there's no option to call him by his name. If you do it that's when the option unlocks. There's a lot that changes in this game based on what content you do or not (dialogue options you have available, whole cutscenes, characters additional dialogue), this is just one of the more major impacting ones.

I chose “call him by his name” without even remembering the details of what happened in the Crystal Tower. I also told him that a smile better suits a hero, which I also only vaguely remembered hearing and didn’t at all recall the context. Damn, now it all hits even harder.

Also Graha really is one continuous entity with all his memories intact, so the G‘raha in current MSQ still retains all of his memories from this… such a powerful character arc, man. That guy went through a lot

I love the callback to your date vid around Old Sharlyan with G'raha where they were sitting close and held hands! They were such goofy goobers and seeing them as young and flirting just, agh, my heart. I could never not call out his name 😭 Your girl's reactions are spot on and the way you animate her and G'raha is beautiful. I see a lot of my WoL in how yours reacts to anything G'raha, but yours has such a wonderful charm too! I'm cheering for them! (And your post about her backstory for the relationship was so sweet! I'm here for WoLs who find the footing by having one person believe in them, and wanting to do all they can to live up to those beliefs.)
Wow, that was wonderful. Nice use of symmetry and transitions. You really tied the weight of that dialogue option to the memories associated with it. Nevermind the headcannon stuff (which was adorable, BTW. Never change.). I just mean that whole CT adventure with him previously being optional, and having that dialogue choice become available to us because our WoL took the time to get to know who this catboy was. It felt really rewarding in the moment. Thanks for the great content, and keep being awesome.

When Shadowbringers was released at some time in the story I already had my theory, that he was G'raha.. The moment it was revealed, I felt so happy to see him again and that he's part of the MSQ now.. Always tearing up at this part of the story and I ALWAYS have to "Call him by his name" Staying silent is no option!
That transition at the end...my feels! I also love how you showed callbacks to them sitting together on the wall, and the sandwich. Those two are just too precious. 😭😭😭

Problem is, all of these are made using blender animation and rendering, while ff14's cutscenes, except for the cg's in trailers etc, are all done in engine.
This video is tugging on my heart strings so bad - I still can't get over how much depth the facial expressions you animate give these two cuties! ❤ That moment had me bawling my eyes out when I first played Shadowbringers: our WoL finally has the confirmation that, of course, it was him all along, who else could've pulled this off, despite the hardship ❤
So I had an eye exam earlier today and they numbed my eyes with some yellow colored eye drops, but thought I had cleaned my eyes. I watched this and immediately started crying yellow tears LOL. I love these so much, thank you ❤
You did a fantastic job! Great animation and this part, got me good when I played through it. I didn't even remember who he was (I was catching up and just grinding through content but the raid for ARR I had done so long ago) and still chose to call his name and his reaction messed me up :') Never forgot him again that's for sure.
Its crazy how they took kind of a throw away character from six years ago and made him what most people would agree is the most important NPC in the game. Seeing all the Graha thirst makes me wish we had more female options in this game to go ga-ga over. Its pretty much just Yshtola in the Scions. Im quite fond of Hilda but she hasnt done anything in years.

You know, i personally dont love G'raha romantically (dont love any of the characters romantically like that tbh) but hes such a bro. He led the people of the first through a world ending calamity even as someone lost from another shard. I love characters that are written to go out and take initiative and do the right thing even without the WoL being there to put everything in motion and to me, that puts G'raha as best tier (along with estinien). He's a great character any way you slice it.
