I couldn’t find the tool I use to scratch back paint with sold by itself, but this is the exact set I got it from, and it’s only like $4. (Not an afiliate link) a.co/d/bSjFy6D But there’s plenty of things just around the house that would work just as well.
I'm watching this for your commentary because it reminds me so much of myself that it's multiversesque. The painting and whole goal is enjoyable as well. I have thought about doing this same basic thing for years (so I'd actually fucking paint and get over my soul-crippling perfectionism, fear of rejection, and overthinking), but as I am a coward, it's nice watching you do it. Stay awesome.
I am so very sorry! Losing a pet is so hard! I am relieved I am not the only overthinker in the world. I do hope we can both overthink a little bit less in the future. Perfectionism has kept me from starting to paint for most of my life - even though painting was my childhood dream. I started painting regularly almost 5 years ago. Best decision ever! It is only lately that I was able to give up on my almost crippling perfectionism. It is such a relief and painting became so joyful - and not stress-inducing like it was before. I have the same experience that others love paintings that I almost didn't post - I hated them that much 😂 Your granulating mountain is my favorite too!
Sincerely, I really enjoy not just the art & your voiceover, but your words. I love that you’re speaking what so many think (or overthink) and, oddly, overthink it aloud for us while watching you create beautiful art. It’s wonderful and I hope you make more! 😊
I enjoyed this vid so very much! Love your painting style, love your narration style. I feel like I can do this, and yes to repeating the same painting multiple times! (I tried painting 100 gnomes in 2020, and I only have 13 completed). But hey, only have 87 more to go, yay!😂 ty❤

Thanks! And holy crap, 100 gnomes is pretty daunting! I think having done 13 is already impressive. 😄
