Awesome!!! I love your comment about branching out and trying new brushes. I have so so many watercolor brushes and have tried them all and still have my favorites and end up using just one for an entire painting 😂. I recommend synthetic squirrel or synthetic kolinsky. Trekell brushes are high quality and very reasonably priced. Rounds and cats tongue are my favorite shapes. Keep it up!!! ❤❤❤❤
Get yer dodoo rocks off 😜 I loved this. Big rocks are my thing. Monoliths, stone circles, burial chambers etc. maybe I could try painting some 🤔 See you next time 😊
The rocks on the second side are amazing! I struggle with rocks - but I am not as persistent and patient to paint only rocks for practice. So far I like angled brush the best for rocks, but will definitely try cat's tongue and dagger too. I learned so much from Paul and Kristy. They are funny and it helps disperse the fear of trying new things.
Thanks! I don’t always have the patience either, I feel ya. 😆 I love Paul and Kristy’s silliness. 😄 The dude over at @mindofwatercolor can be pretty funny sometimes too.
Beaker was CLEARLY inspired by the doodoo rock. The likeness is uncanny. In all seriousness though, very good practice. To learn how you do want to do something, sometimes you first have to learn what you don't want to do. As you said, you have to experiment and find what works for YOU, which may not be the same as what someone else does.
Only just found your channel and found it a fantastic learning tool. You have a way of giving me confidence. Looking forward to seeing more…much more! New subscriber 👍🏻🖌️👩🏻🎨🎨🤷♀️
I was going to add this too, Sarah's Skillshare class breaks down rocks quite a bit. But practicing and figuring it out yourself is an inspiring approach too, as someone who is usually too afraid to do that 😅
Great practice. Gonna do it too. Thanks!
Thanks! ☺️ Rock on! (har har 😆)

Thanks! I tend to always go for the rounds. Branching out is hard. 😆 I’ll keep the brush recommendations in mind! ☺️

Sarah Burns, and artist here on YT, has some great rock tutorials 🙂 Thanks for sharing this!
I follow her, she’s great. 😁 I’ll poke around and see if she has a watercolor rock vid I missed. Thankya!
@@LoriStartedPaintingcheck out her skillshare. She has a specific video about drawing and painting rocks.
