Its a reference to "We've never met, but can we have a coffee or something?" But It really does feel like spirited away now that I think about it, but now since it is in a hotel the theme has changed from a romance/heartbreak to a story of healing through friendship, then onto discovering, having a new "Journey." almost like asking the question again through a different lens, "We've never met but can we have coffee or something?" It definitely does feel like something that Studio Ghibli would create,. This gives me all the more reason to fall in love with, In love with a ghost. They are simply my favourite artist of this year, snails house coming in at a close second for this very reason. Now they can tell a story together.
(Side-note now I cannot help but ship these two...their so gosh darn cute together)
