"Runway, Houses, City, Clouds" is a song by the Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala, released in 2010. Song written and composed by Kevin Parker.
That last 2 mins take u straight to Heaven, literally transports your soul to highest elevation!! best track to listen to stoned, these transitions are crazy in this too
I have such a deep emotional connection to Tame Impala's music that I do not have with any other music, it can't be explained. It just hits me in my soul. Every song is so beautiful, Kevin writes and produces from his soul, and it's beyond art, and beyond words. I can only dream to be so talented. We do not deserve music this amazing.
@@Antenna_to_Heaven I could understand, personally this one hits me the hardest, but I really love all of "Innerspeaker". Just out of curiosity, which is/are your favorite(s)?
@@just_cade uh hard to choose one, I figured I loved most of the album songs on last fm :''D But: Solitude is bliss, Alter Ego, Lucidity, Bold arrow of time... And Expectation, cause of lyrics. I did it on a trip to some mountains and it was like traveling to another dimension while I was having all kind of things going on in my head because of the trip (car traveling, no drugs haha)
Leaving california 2 years ago I added pink floyds The Wall to my spotify last minute before taking off and we had eaten the rest of our edibles before the flight. They were starting to kick in when we walked on the plane and I turned on the wall. The first song "In the flesh" was on and the plane started taking off I SHIT YOU NOT at the end of the song with the plane noises, perfectly in sync. It was amazing and totally unplanned. Could not have been better timing. Then I slept the rest of the flight hahaha.
Tame Impala is the new Pink Floyd, the new Yes. They are what Muse could have been had they not turned in the pop direction. Kevin Parker is like Kevin Barnes, a near-genius musical composer, or maybe even Jeff Lynne, an actual genius. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I have been blown away by every Tame Impala song yet released.
I feel like tame Impala are significantly better than Muse. Kevin Parker's voice is so much more pleasant and takes me to beautiful places. Muse's singer can be very whiny and dramatic. Muse's musicianship was very good though. Either way tame Impala makes some of the best music I've ever heard
Innerspeaker will always be his best album. I know people like Currents more because the sounds are a bit more lenient to the mainstream. But Innerspeaker is just legendary.
I know it’s on Lonerism but when kev and the crew revisited led zep recently I was saddened when it was met with little to no applause then less I know the better came on right after and they went bonkers

A brilliant and satisfying dose of pure psychedelic rock. All of Kevin’s work is incredible, but this... otherworldly. If only more people knew this side of Tame Impala...

Senior year of high school was so short, yet my life went through an entire high-school's worth of development that I had missed in the prior 3 years... this song and alot of Tame Impala's stuff was there when I wanted to slow down and reflect... in car rides, my bed, the desk, or the grass outside under a full moon.
I was literally listening to this song thinking the samething you said in your comment. Senior high was short, but had the best memories and development for me, and tame impala songs, especially this one was one i reflected with a lot. One thing i remember was listening to this song in the middle of a crowded classroom at max volume with earphones and i melted, forgetting where i was for a few seconds, without any drugs and all

I love Innerspeaker, but I never gave this song much of a chance. Had a solo LSD trip where I sat down, closed my eyes and truly listened to it. Ended up just leaving it on repeat, because it created so many different profound emotions in me. In my opinion this is Kevin Parker's greatest song to date. "And gazing out the window, as I ascend into the sky, but I'm the one who's left behind." Beautiful.
I’m so hyped that this song and this video are up to almost 5 million views. When this record (Innerspeaker) came out in like 2010, I was obsessed with it, and this song and that blissful climax were one of the best moments on the album. I never got real in to Tames stuff after Lonerism but ironically that’s when they became pretty popular and even though I am a much bigger fan of their older psych rock pop stuff, I’m pleased as piss to see they are getting noticed. It always hurts my soul to think that these amazing musicians I love may never get recognition for their amazing art, and they will die poor old men and women and never know that people were moved by their creations. I went to see them here in Dallas back in 2010 and I was sharing this record with everyone on Facebook, to the point that I got like 13 friends to come with me to see them live. It was magical. They played with.... black star and white dwarf?... something like that. The singer from the Flaming Lips was in the crowd because the singer from white dwarf was his cousin. I took a bunch of mushrooms and had a beer with Tame Impalas old blonde drummer. Good times Great song Great record Great band that I always knew deserved more recognition.
Probably a decade ago I saw a comment somewhere that said this song almost matches the time it takes the plane to reach the clouds to when the guitar stops the first time, since then I’ve taken many flights and I always listen to this song on takeoff and it always amazes me how while listening to this songs I can se the runway turning into houses and then into a city and then clouds
This song will always remind me of hiking to the summit of Mt san Jacinto a 10,800 ft mountain in the desert. That part where kevin sings "as i ascend into the sky" just fits perfectly with hiking up those summits. Gives me goosebumps.
I was high out of my mind when I heard this song, and listened to the pretty lyrics closely and felt like I had a whole new perspective on life. I call it my magic song :)
This was my favourite track on Innerspeaker when it came out... thought no one else knew about it, and found out TODAY that it's got over 5million views on YT! Amazing...! Used to listen to it over and over and over... that blissful guitar solo at the end!
The guitar at the end of this song is so good. Truly puts me in a euphoric state. This video pairing is just perfect. Combines the two things I love about life...exploring life with the music that I love

This song is gorgeous. It takes such a smooth turn into a mystical, spacey realm! I can literally feel my hairs standing up. Te la has llevado.
beautiful song and vocals....this band is really fascinating ... i mean really something out of the world ... makes you want to wish you were a part of the band :)
It's simple riffs like this that allow you to notice little things like, a reflection of light on a beer can, or an organization of embers on a cigarette. And the way a plane takes of and lands. You never know where you are until somebody shouts it and spoils the magic.
Lol go to one of their concerts, they are beyond popular. I've never been to a concert with such unanimous love of a band like there was as Tame Impala.

Te la has llevado.
Hablemos. Comparto todo
Y POR Q NO LE DISES
Most favorite Tame song!

One of his best songs.
what a stellar jam.
this song sounds like heaven
Can't get enough of this song.
I love everybody who loves this song!
2:13 is my favourite part!!
I mean, you have the same kinda thing at 1:20 and all , and I love that TOO... but the drums make it a "WOW" - moment !!!
Maybe not a global household name in 2018, but in 10, maybe 20 years kids will wish their time was aligned with this brilliance.
I've been saying this to my friends. We will look back on Kevin Parker as a creative genius legend like we do The Beatles, but my friends just laugh.
@@dgg-c8h haha I've been telling this too :D they just don't know yet
This Song is so Hypnotic I keep coming back to it !!!
Strangely, this song makes me wanna go back home
The best song of tame Impala

5 years later, but yes, that's the same feeling I have as a musician. I really dream to play with the Perth guys ♥️...
Absolute Perfection
This music, this clip, it's so really amazing! I can't describe the feeling! Thank you very much
I apologise world. For not finishing spanish
It's simple riffs like this that allow you to notice little things like, a reflection of light on a beer can, or an organization of embers on a cigarette. And the way a plane takes of and lands. You never know where you are until somebody shouts it and spoils the magic.
Watch this on psychedelics, watch the sky, listen to the lyrics, hang on tight. The universe is very interesting.
I can't even get over this. It's perfect.
to start, i love the name of this song, sets up everything else very nicely imo
I've been listing to this song everyday for like 5 months now and it still gets me excited.
This song and video are incredible.
This song is beyond amazing.
this band should be more popular! they sound so familiar and unique at the same time!
They're already vvv popular where I'm from
haha trust me they're huge
Lol go to one of their concerts, they are beyond popular. I've never been to a concert with such unanimous love of a band like there was as Tame Impala.
In my country, Romania they aren't as popular and they haven't come here yet, but if they do, I'll definitely go :)
wendyiss Yeah fair enough. They can't be popular everywhere. Yeah they're a force to be reckoned with live!
Still my favorite piece of music Kevin Parker has ever touched
This is "my" song... Changes are coming. Finally-🎶❤❤❤❤🎶
