Just start praying and reading your Bible. Say to God what you just said..."that you desire to have a solid relationship with Him." Pray that whatever He has for you and whatever it takes to save you, you trust Him to do it, and you will follow Him and ask Him to give you the strength and lead you with His Holy Spirit. Just be real with Him and voice to Him your concern.
I have learned through Pastor Pavel Goia's own testimonials of his own personal relationship Christ made it so real, so incredibly palpable, that it opened my eyes, mind and heart to understand clearly how to have a one-to-one relationship with Him. I'm a fourth generation Adventist, but no one showed me by their own lives how this can be accomplished. Give Him your will, your heart, and your mind by spending quality time with Him alone and with His word and you will experience joy, peace and happiness beyond explanation. Jeremiah 6:16 says it all. Read it! The SDA Church is "united to the world and he papacy." But they don't know it because they are Laodicea.
We are told that we have more to fear from within than without. The same way you give the full view of apostasy when it has to do with Babylon you should be fair and do the same with the chirch. You give a tip, drop certain open comments and then just say pray. Be fair. Tell me more about the bigger threat
