Upgraded from an older 18v kit. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.
Great job on this one... I especially loved the creativity on the new battery.... Well done Sir. Near the end, I was like, what, no new Black & Decker stickers??? Ahhh, but there you were... Very nice....
Great video as always! I do have a question on the new labels though, do you make them on your own? or do you customize them somewhere? I noticed on the new labels it mentions "Lithium ion" and also the date you restored, probably the new voltage and current as well. Great attentions to details.
Great job! Very inspiring video! What are you using to restore the product labels? If you can provide the exact name/series and the process (inkjet/laser/uv maybe). It looks very good with these details.
Great restoration like others .Could you write a buying web adress at 16:05 charger and did you draw Black&Decker sticker labels or have a web site for this kind stickers?
Hi, I used the same BMS board like you, but the dril doesn´t want to accelerate properly. It stops when the triger is fast pressed. When I bypass the BMS , drill works perfect. Maybe the BMS cut off the power because the bateries are salwaged ones form notebook, in order to prevent owerheating . What do ou think? Thanks.
@@gear_show well this is good point, but why it worked well with 4S battery pack without BMS ( test run only ) and with the BMS board it cut of power when the switch is quickly pressed. When I press the switch gently, it works, but when is more load pushed on the chuck, it stops again..
I find very good that you recycle old proven. Unfortunately, we throw too much for scrap. What is that white cordless screwdriver with which you open the device? I like that.

You should choose real high drain current 18650 cells and use good BMS 4S40A. Than follow me in this video, it should be work. Please don't mix good and bad 18650 cells.
This probably means the BMS is cutting power to protect the battery cells from over discharging. You need to check if the 18650 cells you are using are fully charged first (not always the case with the original Ni-Cd or NiMH charger). If the cells you're using are high drain current capable : they can be powerful like 2000mAh, however if the current is only 1 or 2A, voltage will drop and the BMS will cut. You need to check the specs of your cells. If you have enough room, you may double the cells in parallel (it helps with the discharge current).
