    This is saving my life currently. I've been studying Spanish for a decade, and the process of learning Portuguese has been more about unlearning Spanish pronunciation. It's interesting how similar they are, while being so completely different. Thank you for your help!

      I'm with you. Learning the words is super easy since I know a lot of Spanish. The pronunciation is MUCH harder. This video is definitely helpful but even so, I find myself slipping into Spanish pronunciation when trying to follow along with him.

      @SimmsRyan97 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For me it's not necessarily the pronunciation but if I don't know a word I resort to a word I know in Spanish which could be the wrong word.

    Andrew, I am wanting to express to you and your online community what a "real gift" your TH-cam Video teaching Platform is... for all whom are blessed to receive it. You are a exceptional instructor; not only for your knowledge of the language structure and grammar; but additionally, for your teaching perspective and abilities, on how to transfer your knowledge to your constituency. An' to further to "top off your skillset," you have excellent diction, in both Portuguese and the English languages. Note; that fact alone, makes you a more gifted and talented "language instructor." I have no doubt, that this (teaching) is your reason; for being in this "earthly plane." You were sent to give and share your knowledge with others. It is my wish... that each person that is being helped (by/thru) your video teachings, bring you, in return, the CREATOR's Blessings and the "Karmetic Blessings" your deserve. I respectfully, salute you... not only for your abilities; but for your willingness to share your knowledge with the rest of the "non-Portuguese speaking persons" of the world. Please know and remember... your work is not going unnoticed or unappreciated. You Rock !!! ...and please keep up the good work.

    I just started learning Portuguese a couple of days ago and this channel has been my best resource yet. I do have a question. You mention that the letter "o" is pronounced as "u" as the English word "boot". Why can I still hear the "o" sound when you pronounce it? For example, in the Portuguese word "vivo" I can still hear the "o" sound and not "vivu". Thank you.
