Alain Prost - Race Engine Testing on AVL Test Bench 2011

To correct a lack of progressivity on the race engine of Alain Prost in the Ice Race Championship Throphé Andros, LMM conducts a very high dynamic simulation on an engine dyno.
The Nissan base Sodemo engine was installed in the HD-ETB AVL equipment test bed. After light adaptation of the camshafts, the main task of the week test was to very fine tune the ECU to be able to cope with this kind of very demanding Ice Races. Only steady state or light dynamic testing would not be enough to reproduce what is really happening in the car. Wheel slip and grip have to be reproduced on the bench:
