    Coming up with a computer model I don't think is the issue. We're watching it on here. I think the issue stems from creating a prediction in the real world. I think the wildcard in the deck is not knowing EXACTLY what the mass is of the three bodies. That number in a computer simulator can be assigned but for real world calculations that has to be absolutely perfect.

    Possibly, I thought too, if it is in free fall towards the center of the galaxy, the planets are going on skis, but how they rotate at the same time, we don't understand how!

    The scientific name is "n-Body Simulation", or "n-Body Problem".
    "Three Body Problem" is incorrect, even in the book the planet of the Trisolarans makes theirs a 4 body system.

    Lol, the second chapter of the video reads like the abstract of a research paper.

    "3-Body Problem?" Sounds like a successful night if you wake up & there's 3 bodies in the bed with you.
    Oh, he meant something else... 😆 Nevermind.

    3 suns and a planet make 4 bodies just sayin'

      Just the three stars. Almost impossible for planets to exist in such a system. Pre-existing planets would have been destroyed or thrown out of the system early on.

      Assuming that there was a planet involved, its gravity would be so small it would never influence the orbits of the stars. It would be as if it wasn’t there.

      @@IconoclasherIs that where rouge plannets come from?

      @@danmurray1143This is a source of rogue planets. Others can come from collapsing dust clouds that are too small to make stars.

    Interesting show. However, I am afraid the real potential of the story was lost.

    I think a minimum of effort to learn how to pronounce someone's name correctly is just a matter of common respect and good manners. Cixin = Tsee-Sheen. Wake up!

      Is it our fault that the Chinese don't use the Roman Alphabet or even pronounce the letters properly when they do use them?

    • @djmoulton1558
      @djmoulton1558 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No more than it is China's fault the Roman Alphabet fails to provide sufficient sounds for its own language, let alone Chinese (or Hindi, etc.). The point is, there are plenty of resources on the Internet to learn better pronunciation, which this channel repeatedly fails to do when it comes to names not commonly found in a remote farming district.

      @@djmoulton1558 I am sure that you will find that the glyphs of the Roman Alphabet are capable of forming or simulating any sound that the Human Vocal Tract is capable of forming.
      We don't need all of them to speak English.
      C K S and X for example.
      X = CKS

    • @djmoulton1558
      @djmoulton1558 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, not even close. The X in the Chinese Pinyin system, for example, is actually pronounced with the the tip of the tongue touching the base of the front lower teeth. Lots of gyrations in human speech.

    I don't see any problem. Why do you see a problem that doesn't exist? Three bodies of the same mass are the same as three points, and after the three points the center of mass is the same, i.e. the center is "outside", i.e. in a super position, then it is not three points but one central point. Your problem is in asserting body mass and movement. You are banging on with what you invented without any proof of its existence.
