WOW! Aiologs finally made it. He is a very talented guy, I following his works since years. Of course he got me interested by his insane PC builds, but these simracing gadgets are great too.
Glad I watched this review. That is insanely good build quality for the money. I was originally just looking for an h-pattern shifter, browsed a few sites, and got to thinking maybe I should get a handbrake and sequential shifter too. I almost overlooked Aiologs BECAUSE of the price. Thought it was too much cheaper than the other options to be comparable. By being all metal I thought it was pretending to be high quality. I was way off.... I've ordered both right now. For that price, I can't go wrong. And they will literally last a lifetime.
Another great review. This set made me envious, I ordered. You're my reference chain for testing and I don't have to be the only one. A big thank you from France Barry!
Great video. I've been looking at these for a while. Really think I will get their Sequential shifter to add beside my trusty TH8A (which I'll keep for H-Pattern and Handbrake modes).
They have added a USB Type B connector to the unit now so that you can replace or extend the cable. I cant stress enough how good these shifters are, so life like.
I was close, now I’m sold! Really clever design giving the racer that true sequential feel (hopefully) without spending the mega bucks for a wheel based design.,.. I’m ordering mine now :)
The russian tank of sim racing it seems like. So beautifully raw and ridiculously overbuilt.. I'm sorta falling in love. Love stuff that's made for eternity, and this sure looks like it'd still be working well after the second zombie apocalypse from now.
It looks like they could have easily elongated the ball bearing detent housings and threaded the barrels for a screw that could have been used to adjust the force required for a shift...missed opportunity I think. Still the small sequential to beat! Too bad they are sold out everywhere...
As an iracer doing road and oval and having tried rallycross (love watching it) without a handbrake i struggled hard....so, great driving dude it aint easy but you make it look so :)
Great Vid as always Barry, i am currently running a Frex Seq but did seriously look at this shifter at the time, i wonder how they would compare, but as you say at this price per quality would not break the bank to have both.
I own the handbrake and it's very nice, very well built, strong and a joy to use in rally games. I installed a shorter shaft (you can use the shafts provided with the HE shifter), because I prefer shorter travel and more tension. I wish the travel could be even shorter. A couple of questions: - Where did you get those metal pads for the Fanatec pedals? - What model of steering wheel are you using in the video?
The wheel is the new SimuWheel GT button plate on a momo. I am assuming you are referring to the pedals in this video. If so , they are not the CLS Elite pedals. They are the Wave Italy Impetus pedals.
Thanks for the awesome review Barry. I have been contemplating a handbrake and I am sold after this video. I even decided to go ahead and get the shifter also. I just placed my order and received an email from Dmitry within 30 minutes. I am now anxiously awaiting my shipment. Can anyone tell me how long it takes them to arrive? I think that the pre order date right now is 03-22-19. Thanks again for the awesome and selling review!
Too desapointed with Heusinveld feeling, i have the Aiologs for 1 year now !and i still love the quality and the feeling. I just provide 2 changes : replacing the lever with a sparco one (perfectly fit), and painting the whole shifter in black (very simple cause you can dismount and mount very easly) !
This is the one i have : tof.cx/images/2020/05/29/18d59240ae690c407478887978c79ffc.jpg Unavailable on the Sparco website, you can find it searching : "Spc Pomo Racing Black"
12:02, I could swear to god thats aluminum and not staninless steel but okay, i mean... Aluminum is easier to machine and softer metal, why would they use stainless, probably also cost more and harder to place inserts in. Stainless and Aluminum also have properties where magnets will not adhere. Just saying for common sense or i'm stupid lol. On a another note, Holy crap, Aiologs, i was watching his builds for stuff and literally they were creative but never woulda thought it would go on SRG.
Hey Barry, great review! I am wondering how the feel of the handbrake compares to a load cell type like the HE handbrake. On the fence at the moment between buying a spring/pot handbrake like this one or the Fanatec or spending the extra for the load cell. Thanks and keep up the great videos!
The HE will have more adjustment as far as resistance to the pull. As this handbrakes tension or resistance is set with the spring rate that is used in the body.
Hi Barry, congratulations on your channel! I'm going to buy a new Shifter, what do you advise me, aiologs or heusinkveld? I like sequels of hard and mechanical touch. Thank you very much!
They are both great shifters. For me, the Aiologs shifts feel just a bit better and I would give it the nod. However, I really can't advise you on which one you will like better. We all feel things differently.
Hi Barry! Great video!!! You think Aiologs Sequential Shifter and Handbrake are better than the ProSims? From what I see in your video I think Aiologs is top quality, great feeling and more durable!
I just received my Aiologs shifter and handbrake and Windows 10 will not boot with the USB’s plugged in. Any ideas? Works fine if I boot up and then plug USB in.
The ARC was a great shifter. I has a more positive feel of engagement during the shift. Not to say the Aiologs is the lesser. Just a bit softer on engagement.
The Aiologs is a very solid, good looking unit, and works very well. The HE is a more industrial looking and truer to size of the real thing. You can adjust the amount of force it takes to pull the HE. Where the Aiologs is set at the factory, and not adjustable. I think it is set pretty much spot on, but others may disagree. Any part can fail. But I would lean towards the load cell as far as having the most life cycles. Either would be a good choice. Depends on what you want and how much space you have at your driving station.
FreekShow they tend to mention it in reviews or if you go through the comments it’s definitely mentioned in some videos I’m not sure where I saw it but I ended up ordering a aiologs shifter
Russians have always been known for building stuff to last. (you can literally run over a kalashnikov in a tank and it will still work :) good solid no nonsense engineering. thanks for the in depth review it sealed the deal and I just ordered a handbrake
Barry, can you give me your understanding of which one is better overall out of all the current and previous reviews you've done so far? They are very nicely priced compared to other units.
Heusinkveld quality at a Thrustmaster price. What a time to be alive.
Shows you how overpriced Thrustmaster is, and these aiologs are made in Europe too
Finally a realistic price point for simracing gear with excellent quality. Well done!
WOW! Aiologs finally made it. He is a very talented guy, I following his works since years. Of course he got me interested by his insane PC builds, but these simracing gadgets are great too.

Just picked up a pair of these. incredible craftsmanship at that price. Thanks for the review man!
I have to agree with you Barry, this hardware looks absolutely top notch especially for the price. Great review.
Another great review. This set made me envious, I ordered. You're my reference chain for testing and I don't have to be the only one.
A big thank you from France Barry!
Thank you for taking this thing apart and showing us how it works. Now I can take that info and apply it to make my own
It’s always so satisfying to watch you driving.
Great Review as always! Will wait for that penguin RC wheel button box you have there!
Great video. I've been looking at these for a while. Really think I will get their Sequential shifter to add beside my trusty TH8A (which I'll keep for H-Pattern and Handbrake modes).
As always, very good product analysis and test, thanks for your work.
They have added a USB Type B connector to the unit now so that you can replace or extend the cable. I cant stress enough how good these shifters are, so life like.
Ordering one today. Great price and quality. Will make a nice upgrade from the Thrustmaster with the Ricmotech plate mod. Thanks barry!
got the Shifter, I love this thing. They improved the USB port, it's now outside. Now saving money for the handbrake :D
Thanks Barry. Another top review. Looks like excellent value for $.
I was close, now I’m sold! Really clever design giving the racer that true sequential feel (hopefully) without spending the mega bucks for a wheel based design.,..
I’m ordering mine now :)
Nice review!
Looks like a really nice and robust set of equipment!
Best reviewer on youtube, period. Thank you sir!!
The russian tank of sim racing it seems like. So beautifully raw and ridiculously overbuilt.. I'm sorta falling in love. Love stuff that's made for eternity, and this sure looks like it'd still be working well after the second zombie apocalypse from now.
Thanks Berry, you just made me to spend some money!!! Great Review as usual.
great review - thanks
Good review! Glad I got em to review aswell

Just ordered one an hour ago. Now I hope they make an H pattern.
I might just get the handbrake! Thanks Barry🙏
Great Vid as always Barry, i am currently running a Frex Seq but did seriously look at this shifter at the time, i wonder how they would compare, but as you say at this price per quality would not break the bank to have both.
Please start streaming. You are a blast to watch race!!

32:40 didn't register the shift?
USPS LIST MY SHIFTER!
And Aioligos sent me out another one?🤩
Thanks for the awesome review Barry. I have been contemplating a handbrake and I am sold after this video. I even decided to go ahead and get the shifter also. These are great, I ordered mine and told Dimitry you sent me hahaha.
Question, will and after market shifter knob fit in the threads?
Threads are M10 1.5. So yes. You could also use a universal knob with the different sized inserts.
Sweeeeeeeeet!!!! I have a Dim Sim Sequential shifter from Russia that cost me $100. Great quality as well and tactile feed back.
Hi, always top compliments.
One question, is it possible to adjust the stiffness of the shifting?
Thanks
SRG needs to have an eSports team.
Hoping for a review of the Thrustmaster Sparco handbrake mod someday 👍🏻
Yep... Probably not going to be able to buy one for quite some time...
Too desapointed with Heusinveld feeling, i have the Aiologs for 1 year now !and i still love the quality and the feeling. Aluminium is not magnetic what so ever in most cases, that be some sort of Alloy such as Stainless.
do you really think one can hold a piece of lightweight solid aluminium and think it is steel... I do not.
I love the handbrake but it seems to loosen really easily and doesn’t stay tightened. Did you have any issues like this?
Hey Barry, great review! I am wondering how the feel of the handbrake compares to a load cell type like the HE handbrake. On the fence at the moment between buying a spring/pot handbrake like this one or the Fanatec or spending the extra for the load cell. Thanks and keep up the great videos!
The HE will have more adjustment as far as resistance to the pull. As this handbrakes tension or resistance is set with the spring rate that is used in the body.
Hi Barry which do you prefer out of the quiafe V2 and this shifter? Keep up the good reviews
Quaife V2. Noticeably more tactile feedback on shifts. But for the extra expense you would expect it to be better.
Hi Barry, congratulations on your channel! I'm going to buy a new Shifter, what do you advise me, aiologs or heusinkveld? I like sequels of hard and mechanical touch. Thank you very much!

Nice review as always. Looking at purchasing both based on your review! Want to sell them?
Hi Barry! Great video!!! You think Aiologs Sequential Shifter and Handbrake are better than the ProSims? From what I see in your video I think Aiologs is top quality, great feeling and more durable!
160 USD is net price exclusive VAT, so it explaining the low price. It is not a SRP/VAT included.
You should be buying and trying the TH8A mods now, thanks for the good reviews, waiting for more comparisons.
See my Ricmotech mods review. Also working on a 3DRap mods review now.
Sim Racing Garage already watched it, it was assome.
Hey, any plans on reviewing the SW7C from simplicity? very interesting for a DD Wheel for around 500 bucks
Yes, when I can get one.
hey ! would the shifter mount on the next level DD wheelstand HB plate ? got fanatec HB on the plate allready whant to add a shifter next to it
I just received my Aiologs shifter and handbrake and Windows 10 will not boot with the USB’s plugged in. Any ideas? Works fine if I boot up and then plug USB in.
Hi im looking for a begineers wheel after playing sims on PC/Xbox with a controller for over 8 years... Whats a good wheel to start with?
Does aiologs shifter and handbrake works on lfs?
HELLO BARRY , HOW WOULD IT COMPARE TO arc TEAM SHIFTER IN TERMS OF FEEL AND REALISM?
The ARC was a great shifter. I has a more positive feel of engagement during the shift. Not to say the Aiologs is the lesser. Just a bit softer on engagement.
Hey barry, how does this aiologs handbrake compares to the he handbrake? Potentiometer vs loadcell

what button box are you using on that wheel?
How does the feel compare to Fanatec's seq shifting?
FreekShow other youtubers have made this comparison and have said they much much profer this
@@whiphore I cant find those videos, where?
FreekShow they tend to mention it in reviews or if you go through the comments it’s definitely mentioned in some videos I’m not sure where I saw it but I ended up ordering a aiologs shifter
Will the shifter and hand brake also work on the console or PC only ?
Ron Smith pc only. Majority of sim products are pc only
What`s the name of this board?
Russians have always been known for building stuff to last. (you can literally run over a kalashnikov in a tank and it will still work :)
good solid no nonsense engineering.
thanks for the in depth review it sealed the deal and I just ordered a handbrake
how much are the handbrakes?
Does it work on ps4
Will thia work with xbox
Barry, can you give me your understanding of which one is better overall out of all the current and previous reviews you've done so far?
They are very nicely priced compared to other units.
Bloody russians can make a things. Thanks for review
But the shipping is very high. If they could bring their shipping down I think they would suddenly be more popular
Kalashnikov (AK) in sim racing ))
