- Dr. Dan Wallace is a world renowned expert of New Testament Greek and the author of the highly acclaimed textbook: Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics, which is the standard textbook used in most second year Greek courses. Dr. Wallace has a ThM and PhD from Dallas Theological Seminary and has engaged in Post-doctoral studies at Cambridge University, University of Münster, and Tübingen University. He currently serves as Senior Research Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Daniel, Is the newest recent translation, the LSB (Legacy Standard Translation) a new TRUE translation?
So what do we do with those texts (like the end of Mark) that aren't likely in the original? Obviously Dr. Wallace doesn't think we should preach or determine theology by those passages. Why don't Bible publishers take them out?
Because Mark 16:9-20 is historically disputed among well meaning Christian’s that differ. So it’s more honest in a translation to just alert the reader to the difficulties .
There is really only two major textual variants ,that one and John 7:53-8:11 .
But no essential doctrines are lost to us at all , only the number of verses that one could use to gather to the defense ov doctrines .
your style of argumentation reminds me of an undergrad attempting to make the same feeble points. this makes me blissful to be a heathen.
One more thing. Speaking of Bart Ehrman. Just love this quote from William Lane Craig:
"I lost all respect for Bart Ehrman frankly, when I saw him in public debate, how he deliberately and deceptively tries to mislead laymen in this (truth or fallacy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ & etc.)..."
