You can pull the gear from collections if you skip campaign on 2nd character. Power level is shared now. You don’t need the 1960 gear from the campaign the second time. Literally just did this.
Either way, drops for your alts are around 4 power levels lower than your main's gear, anyway, so if your main had full 1960, once you get on your alt, the drops will be around 1956 or so.

It’s similar to how it worked in previous years. For TWQ and LF, the weapons would boost your average power on other characters, but because the armour on character 1 didn’t impact character 2 or 3, you’d hit the soft cap. This way, you could do legendary on one character and just do normal on the other two. This time round, your weapons and armour from character one help the others. So, do the legendary campaign on one character, then do the normal version on the other two, and you’ll be about ~5 light levels off. Ideally do the legendary on one, then max out the powerful and then pinnacle before doing the next so your second character is within ~5 but still has the powerful and pinnacle outstanding.
I did this but now I can’t find access to the mission Lost in Dark/ found in light for the additional supers / abilities that don’t get unlocked with the base campaign
The peak power reached is now shared between characters, to get 1960 stuff you just need to get some powerfull engrams/drops on your alts and they will be already at the power reached on your titan (assuming that you got the 1960 kit from legend completition on your 1st character)
Remember power level is shared now so if you did it on one character aka legendary all of the gear you get on your new character will drop at 1960+ so just buy blues or even powerful/pull out of your collection.
I did the skip on my hunter and dont have all the melees, and dont have the supers, just did ascent and got the arc super... Still dont have silkstrike, or shadowshot. How do you get those now?....
I’ve been F2P ever since I started playing I played during the beta and I bought the final shape cause it was on sale and I actually like the dlc I haven’t beat it cause I bought it a day ago but prismatic is a fun subclass I do like the strand subclass cause I feel like Spider-Man but prismatic I can have mutiple subclasses basically so fun lol

If your main is high enough, go to Ada-1 and purchase a set of gear to infuse. I was able to purchase a full set of 1975 gear for my warlock when I skipped him. I still can't figure out how to unlock the rest of the abilities though... mainly the grenade, melee and two other aspects.
To get the rest of your stuff you need to complete the two queens questline. Starting with the two to your left and right as soon as you land in the old tower.
@daviesinteriors you don't need to complete the Light and Dark quest on alt characters. That mission is account based. To unlock all the other abilities/supers/aspects, you will need to do the 6 adventures in the old tower. (Home 1 and 2, Queen 1 and 2, and the Mithrax quest 1 and 2).
I got a problem i got all aspects on hunter but on titan i finished final shape and still no lost in the light quest for consecration aspect or do i need to freaking re play all acts ???
I get ppl are busy but they would rather pay that much to have the story played for them that they also paid for. Also why are the dungeon keys a seperate purchase from the dlcs? They should be included in the dlc pack

It's fun to watch this. Question, how do I reach the Pinnacle cap, if I don't own the final shape dlc? The legend activities are power capped so I need to at least reach 1965 for legends and 2k for master.

PSA: just redid all the stuff foe Guardian rank 7 and discovered that to reach rank 8 again, you need to do the FS campaign. This apparently is NOT retroactive. Hopefully, this is an oversight that Bungie will correct in the near future. This also unlocks 2 more loadout slots. So if you play thru the legend campaign and then try to skip it on the other two, you may permalock yourself at rank 6 depending if running the final mission counts towards completing the campaign or not.
On your other characters did you actually get the other super? I unlocked my titan and got prismatic, but under void it still says the axes are locked.
i have encountered the issue where i dont have the ergo sum quest on my warlock after having skipped the campaign and thus no way to get the missing aspects
I accidentally skipped Lightfall on my warlock. All i did was click it once because it provided no context as to what it was and spent double the time power leveling because it didn't give me any boxes even when I ran through it. And it used my silver which I was a bit bummed at as well.
You would believe AAA games are dying if you just bought Destiny 2's The Final Shape, it's launch is so bad, I mean mega levels of bad. D2 has out of the world server issues with The Final Shape, a billion-dollar game, f*ckn laughable. I have played D2 for six years and did not buy The Final Shape, because I knew it would be the blandest of the bland story telling due to dei and other western negative issues in the entertainment industry. Anyway, I watched the cutscenes for The Final Shape and the writing is pure drivel, the cutscenes are ordinary and even the voice acting has gone down over time. It's just another AAA live service dumpster fire. RIP live service AAA games.

1960 gear is only for completing the legendary campaign, it's always been like that. The skip completes the normal campaign therefore no gear.

Open your ghost in the lost city. You'll see 6 adventures. Do those to unlock all supers and aspects

Doing the final mission didn’t give you the 1960 gear because it’s a reward for completing all the missions on legendary, not just the final mission.

Technically after the raid there's one final mission to end the campaign, I think that's required to complete that objective.
