He didnt have enough fuel or something

Probably didn't get the fill on his first stop and came back in to top off. Bad time for a mistake like that though

If after Ty's fuel stop there was too much fuel left in the fuel gun then he probably wouldn't have had enough fuel to go the distance and would have needed to come back in for a second stop.
