The human skull consists of about 22 to 30 single bones which are mostly connected together by ossified joints called sutures. Its main task is the protection of the most important organ in the human body, the brain. The aim of this tutorial is to elaborate on the bones that make up the skull.
The skull is divided into the brain case, known as the neurocranium, which consists of the skull cap known as the calvarium… and the skull base… as well as the face, which is known as the viscerocranium.
In this video tutorial, we will cover the following topics:
Overview of the anatomy and functions of the bones of the skull;
Brain case and face: introduction to the neurocranium and viscerocranium;
Features of the neurocranium: skull cap (parietal bones, frontal bone, occipital bone);
Features of the neurocranium: base of the skull (sphenoid bone, occipital bone, temporal bone, maxilla, and zygomatic bone);
Bones of the face: maxilla, mandible, zygomatic bone, nasal bone, palatine bone, lacrimal bones, vomer and inferior nasal concha;

In a sense a type of exoskeleton system with only a thin layer of tissue over a bony structure.
Unlike the appendicular skeleton with the hard bone more interior.
I am looking at something called CFR where a balloon goes into the turbinates and expands with 1lb of pressure. They report that there is often cracking. My concern is the cracking is the delicate turbinates. I am curious if you know anything about this or if this is possible to fracture them?
Thanks for this wonderful video ⚘️
Hey thanks! Helped me a lot
There are many components to learning anatomy. One plan I discovered which successfully combines these is the Anatomy Blueprint Pro (check it out on google) without a doubt the best course that I've seen. Check out this extraordinary resource.
