I was curious about this movie because I’ve seen trailers. I saw two reviews of it today that came to very different conclusions. The other one was very negative, and the main complaint was that as a biopic, it was dishonest in that it completely ignored or glossed over any controversies or anything negative about Reagan and his presidency. What do you think about that criticism? Will I see it? I don’t know - I might have to see it just to see which review is right. I’m not trying to troll you, I promise, just giving you my honest reaction. And my reaction to the lesson you drew from the film is “I need to do whatever I can to stand up and make sure that a man who refuses to accept the peaceful transfer of power, who tried to subvert an election (and who shows every sign that he’ll do it again), who incited an insurrection, who stole classified documents and then lied about it, who is a convicted felon … is never President of the United States again.” And I will.
@@kkitao217 thanks for the comment! The movie does touch on the fact that Reagan was disliked by a lot of Americans. I encourage you to go see it and come to your own conclusion about the film. Appreciate the comment.
@@genem2768the movie wasn’t “a right wing puff piece.” It was an accurate portrayal of the history that occurred during that time. You went in prepared to hate the film.
@@josephgurka8427 I actually thought the Reagan presidency was very interesting at the time. I just thought the movie glorified him a bit too much. Also, who TF pays todays movie prices for a movie they expect to hate. Kind of a ridiculous assumption.

I saw the movie and it was a right wing puff piece. Watch it if you like but be warned.
