I found it so interesting that the food hall offered so much more than when my mom visited 50 YEARS AGO! I enjoyed seeing the huge variety of foods available - so many options for so many different bento boxes. And the box itself is such a treat!

I have always admired the way Japan takes pride in how they package and prepare the food. Get them hot or cold, and almost anything that you are in the mood for that day. It always looks so amazing to me. I would have saved the Sea Eel until last. I guessed Mango, but glad I was wrong, LOL I don't care for Mango. but love Pineapple.

Wow that’s so cool! I liked at the beginning the catalog I guess of bentos you could buy. It’s like a store that only sells bentos. I wish we had bentos like that here.
I love the variety of bento boxes, at least those in Japan. There’s a small Japanese restaurant in my town ( population 7,000) and there’s is decent ( for a Japanese restaurant in small town America) I just wish they offered the variety Japan does, it’s amazing.

The bentos were put together very nicely. I especially liked the tonkotsu and egg sandwiches and the meal that appeared to be in a stone bowl.
