Robot Bidders doubled the Price. Say you Bid 25.50$ and the next bid is 27:50$ it’s a Bot Bidder, most likely set up by the Seller? to Double the prices based off your bid? and If someone cancels it’s usually someone who knows that the Robot Bidders are watching the Items, jacking up the price! Etc..
@MrPchui Sorry late reply - but yup I agree. Personally, I'd definitely rather own a legitimate investment that consistently goes up in value over time! 😀🔥💪
The 16/25 Red Outburst was pulled by Maritime Collectors in Nova Scotia. He has a video up about him pulling it at his LCS. He did say he got a deal with Slabsharks to handle it so I can't say anything about the bidding on it. I hope there was nothing fishy about it because he's a really good guy that's a real collector. Thanks for all the info. I'll never be bidding on anything that high dollar but the precautions can be used on anything. Great video.
@angushiltz4880 Good info. I think the thing about shill bidding is that there are a lot of people other than just the owner of that card who benefit from the sale of a Red Outburst for a high amount. That's what makes it so hard to police. 😬😢 If the seller is a good LCS owner, that's really great to hear! 😀❤👍Thanks for sharing! 🙏
@@hockeycardsincanada he isn't an LCS owner. He is just a collector who pulled it there instead of on camera. He has a pretty good channel here on TH-cam. It was good to see him pull that kind of card because he is like a lot of us who can't afford to buy high quantities of Series 2.
@angushiltz4880 Ah ok gotcha. Hopefully if you get a good feeling about him, then he's selling things by following all the rules. And maybe there are a few more Red Outbursts that have been pulled and those people are pumping up the price.... and we'll see those hit eBay in a few weeks. So hard to really know though. Feel free to share his channel. I'm curious to look into the pull some more, or even just hear the story of an epic pull. We can all hope to pull a $20K card from a pack one day! ☘😎🚀
Real buyers will put a low bid in just so the item stays posted doesn’t get canceled or it doesn’t have a buynow added to the listing , also people do it to generate the views when they see a bunch of bids different people interested on purchasing an item especially if there’s a small community with a low interest but with these type of items, you have 100s of viewers followers, I believe you can set the listing to buyers needing a certain amount of feedback to bid ? I haven’t set up that option in a while. I believe it was five or more I had it sent to years ago.
@@hockeycardsincanada have a feeling person grabbing the mill is gonna have some buyer remorse lol. But on a real lowkey lol so how is a card like that released? Does UD make sure it's in immediate circulation from first drop? And what's max print? Cause obviously there is a max, else those chances on the boxes are pfffft. But I know I can go online and order from my nearest and would be crazed for my nearest to try and buyout a couple squares from UD.
@pnshr88 All good questions. I would love to know more of the behind-the-scenes stuff at UD. There's gotta be a handful of execs that know exactly where the big cards are, but are sworn to secrecy. I'd also hope that UD adds in some randomness to where those big cards get shipped. I wonder if eventually someone shares the secrets, but until then, we can only speculate.
If it’s a 1/1 card what difference does it make if it’s a 8 or a 9? Are you going to find another copy of it graded a 10? Market price is set by what ever someone is willing to pay for it. If someone decides to pay 2 mill for it the market value is 2 mill now
Yup. Good catch. Whenever there is unusual levels of attention and big dollars involved , shady shit happens unfortunately. Wonder if anyone has pulled that gold. Probably in someones basement haha
@cphenix5994 Hopefully there's nothing shady happening with the 1/1... because the mystery of the whereabouts of the Gold Outburst is so intriguing!!! 😜🤑😱
Great segment once again. Later 90s I had this issue with a 'The Doors' book I was looking at. I now own it but that was after someone with low-no history pulled out. Good luck on the CBYG PSA
@paullamb9366 Thanks for sharing. Yes, shows that this unusual bidding behaviour would apply to many different collectibles. I'm glad you eventually found the book! 😀❤💪
Not sure why you’d want to accuse a consignment service of fraud like that. Slab Sharks is a reputable company and the buyer paid in full. I saw the other two red outbursts on eBay, they had severe edge flaws…the eBay pics clearly showed that, yet you claim you didn’t see any problems on those cards. Get your facts straight before you start accusing businesses of fraud. If I were running Slab Sharks I would sue you for libel/defamation for these accusations, which you base on zero evidence.
@BillTatsis-lf5nw I appreciate the comment. 👍Though I don't say anything about SS being guilty of anything... I don't think I even mention their name. I just think monitoring odd bidding behaviour is extremely difficult to police. I don't see how SS can avoid shill bidding from happening... or eBay either... or whoever owns the card... or any of the buyers... There are so many parties that can benefit from an inflated sale price. Hope you stick around for future videos. I enjoy hearing other takes, so thanks again for watching and taking the time to share your thoughts. 🙏👍😀
I pulled and consigned the first one that went for $24.2K. I was paid for the sale. I was also contacted by slab sharks to assess bids that they deemed to be fishy and they were removed at our discretion
@michaeldearby3945 First off, congrats on the epic pull and just as epic sale! 🔥😀👍This is helpful info, so thanks for sharing. If you ever feel like sharing more, email: hockeycardsincanada@gmail.com I'm curious to know more about your experience!

I like your Buyer Beware segments. Some food for thought.

Wait till you see the Bedard gold outburst which will be ranked a 9 or 8 but will sell for a way higher price from bounty peep.
