If memory serves me correctly, Kazinski used to take the bus to California to mail his packages!!! He was a bright fellow!!! I assume you're done and back in Canada. Congratulations!! Well Done!!
You have gone thru a lot of beautiful forest, but I have been surprised at the large amount of dead trees too. I suppose from a combination of fire, disease, bugs and just natural cycles.
With all of the ridge hiking, do you have to carry water for the entire day or are there places where you can drop down off the ridge to find a spring?
In this area I think the longest carry was about 15 miles and the trail took me to a few springs which were sometimes only slightly off the side of the ridge and not too far down. Sometimes the trail would briefly drop into a valley with a creek and then immediately go back up on a ridge.
Looks like the trail is staying interesting to the end

Lots of trees on CDT seem leafless and dead.

Looks like u r growing ur hair back to the length it was on the AZ trail?
It was shaved very short on the AZT but pretty long just before, when I filmed my gear video for the AZT
