My grandfather was in the Marines and was in the Vietnam war. He was a war hero when him and 10 men took back a cargo/Weapon ship from 100-200 Insurgents. He is in the Marine Corps Museum and is in the War Hero Section. He went to 29 palms for 6 months to help the recruits and boots. I will remember him long after he is dead. He is still alive today and will always be a Marine. He was a Infantry officer and commanded a few Squads and battalions. He is a Honor guest at the Marine Corps Ball dance every year. Thank you for reading this and I hope you respect the Marines as I do.
I'm finally going back and watching these. I am a marine corps brat. My step dad is a force recon marine and purple heart recipient. A buddy of mine whose dad is an marine as well showed me your channel roughly 2 years ago and I have been hooked since. you have gotten me through a rough time and I just wanted to say thanks. I never know if you will see this but please keep doing what you do. I love your channel and watch streams quite often.
That night course was the shit. It made me feel like “This is what I’m here for”. The next time I got that feeling was my first op in a Line Company. We did MOUT and when the MGs opened up and there was yelling and screaming and arty sims going off…I was like “This is what combat is like”. And it was such an eye opening experience.
+justin thompson Our first obstacle in the crucible was going up a hill but we were sitting down first. So in order to "motivate" us the DI said, in these exact screaming words, "I bet if there were a bag full of dicks up there youll would be up there in no time!" We got up there in no time lol.
My Company had one of the worst crucible's in the past 4 years, middle of winter, rained soo much, had a guy get hypothermia, My feet were covered in blisters by the first hike in, dont be worried about it though, if you got GOD, youl be fine
Had to piss on the move in between events during the crucible lol... had to make sure it was when we were on a curve in the movement and no drill instructors in front of me or behind me were able to see me. And brah.. cmon.. the moto run is not 9 or 10 miles lol.. I did go to boot camp in San Diego in 09 and that shit was like 3-5 miles max. I doubt at Parris Island they made you guys do 10 miles.
Hey man, I enlisted in the Navy a few months back and leave to basic in October; every branch of the military has the same medical and enlisting station. I didn't tell them about the time I broke my wrist when I was in middle school because the military would have to hire a private investigator to look into your past and that would take a lot of time and money to do so. I wouldn't worry about it. Just talk about it with your recruiter and depending on how old you are, it might not matter.
these videos are always so interesting to me, im actually in the process of join the corps so always a big inspirition/prospective for me, thanks for these videos!
which uniform did you like the most the green jacket or the Blue's and just because you missioned about how much you loved the LAV would you ever change your MOS to a 1812
ICEZombies: No. They give you options after OCS and part of TBS based primarily on what the Corps needs, then what you can do based on performance, and lastly what you want to do.
Hey DevilDog, im Max i am 12 i live in scotland (great autobiography) I am in the ArmyCadetForce which is a military run youth group from the ages 12 - 18 and we do somthing similar to what you talked about in your video and we call it FieldCarft, its where we are all plonked into a giant area of military training ground and told to go up against other teams of cadets using blank firing L85A2s, the system is that there is a high rank folowing your fireteam/squad for the training and....
He didn't express it well but what he's getting at is, once you've earned the title "Marine," no one can take it from you. You carry that mentality and that pride with you for the rest of your life. So the saying goes, "Once a Marine, always a Marine." The Corps is built strongly on tradition and Esprit de Corps, so we take things a little more personally than we should sometimes because we feel that we need to defend our Corps, when really, it was just a misunderstanding. Hope this helps.
.... tell you if your dead depending on the descisions you make EG: running out in a rambo-esc run while underfire. the time on fieldcraft (2-6 days) we get about 4 hours of sleep each night and that is with pyrotechnics going off around you constantly, each day we hardley stop moving and food gets scarse.... i just find it hard to belive that the USMC is doing training equal to that of some british teenagers?
It's a lot harder to do when you're already running low on sleep before you start and you've been pushing your limits for three months straight. Staying up and playing video games between sessions of work does not even compare.
Man that's absolutely crazy. That's deep. I can only imagine how hard it would be to end sometimes life, even if they are trying to do the same to you.
Brother I know how you feel during boot I ate shit on my rifle running up hill broke my nose. Had the REAPER the next day they wouldnt let me go to the aid station and we only had 1 MRE. by the time I got to the warriors breakfast I couldnt chew my face was so swollen.
I used to stare out at the parade deck and imagine what it’d be like to be those guys graduating. I craved fried chicken for the last few weeks there. Then when I got home it was so weird to be back in society after 5 months at PI. Trying to be normal but normal was long gone .
has devil mentioned what bn from what he's saying sounds like 3rd bn around the summer time I graduated dec 18th Friday 2015 2nd bn echo company plt 2097
Hey man, I the next M.C.M, could you make your weapons as close to what you used when you where in service? Ex. M16 / Holo / grip, etc. I think it would be interesting.
Haha i remember the crucible. we were the last platoon in follow series, and our DIs told us the reaper aint shit. and then they said dont look up - well i did. and i looked up, and up, and up and saw some little lights at the very top of the mountain haha. halfway up a kid with shin splints snapped his leg. saw him in MRP during marine week.
devil dog you are awesome next year at 16 im signing up for the royal marine commando's ive been training by getting fit and being a cadet any advice on what else i should do?
TheBritishPratt keep working, run for time - EX: Run nonstop for 30 mins, not try to get 6 minute mile. Watch all of DDG's MCM videos. Spend time with family, read up on the royal marines, and read up on your MOS or whatever the Royal Marines call it.
+TheBritishPratt i guess it wouldn't hurt to start speed marching with weight (start with low weight and low dist, then work up so u don't fuck up your knees and shit). in training you'll do this anyway to build up to the 30 miles across Dartmoor, but it won't hurt to start this now.
No, because your first kill (or i imagine so) isnt as bright and glorified as many make it out to be, a lot f times there are emotional repurcussions from your first kill and its not something people like to relive.
i am about to become a poole and the pt sessions are getting hard any advice? not the running part or pullups its the carrying people type stuff its so hard for me
I have a question DevilDog, I went to a hospital for depression when I was 12 and only took the meds for like a month. Does this DQ me from the Marine Corps or do I still have a good chance of getting in? Also I've heard you can fraudulently enlist and they can't search medical records, is this true?
Ya standing at attention for more than ten minutes is a pain marching band is nothing to the marines obvious but standing their holding a five to ten pound peace if brass starts to hurt after a little while. Also there seems to be alot of shiting in the marines.
im enlisting in 3 years, but i heard that they are changing the training to more anarobic (quick burts of speed), is that true? i mean i run track and play football so that probably wont hinder me too much
Devil, talk about female Marines! I'm going to be one soon, leave in 8 months or so. I don't care if your opinion of them is good or bad I would just like to hear it. Thanks
Juan Cabrera the person called guide not" guidon thats the flag is choosen by the drill instructors based on physical fitness how well you do in close order drill "marching" and just overall what the drill instructors see in you the guide is usually the person who drill instructors think will become the best marine but guide can get fired and replaced throughout boot camp and he will if you go in and you want to be guide or a squad leader make sure the drill instructors notice you because theyre gonna fuck with you if you do something 100 percent right or 100 percent wrong so dont let getting yelled at scare you instead just make sure you get yelled at because one of the big things is theyre looking at who can take getting yelled at because guide is supposed to be a leader and the leader should show no fear at all hope that was helpfull
What's hard about? Are you overweight? Or not strong enough? Believe me, you don't need to be the best athlete when you get to bootcamp, just be strong enough to pass everything and the rest will come, I weighed 205 and did 6 pull ups going into bootcamp, came out 158 and doing 17 pull ups. In SOI I got up to 28 pull ups... you will get it done.
My grandfather was in the Marines and was in the Vietnam war. He was a war hero when him and 10 men took back a cargo/Weapon ship from 100-200 Insurgents. Is he still with us?
I'm finally going back and watching these. I am a marine corps brat. My step dad is a force recon marine and purple heart recipient. Corey Davis did u get into the marines man?
I love that you talk about this stuff, so many people refuse to talk about it. This makes it more open. Good vids dude.
2 years until I join the Marines. Excited and scared at the same time....
Its funny because Im a drill instructor and just finished the crucible, out post life.
I thank thats more of the navy bro.
+justin thompson Our first obstacle in the crucible was going up a hill but we were sitting down first. So in order to "motivate" us the DI said, in these exact screaming words, "I bet if there were a bag full of dicks up there youll would be up there in no time!" We got up there in no time lol.
+chrislliatsos lol
magicaryeh It was so damn funny, the DI actually started smiling as well
My Company had one of the worst crucible's in the past 4 years, middle of winter, rained soo much, had a guy get hypothermia, My feet were covered in blisters by the first hike in, dont be worried about it though, if you got GOD, youl be fine
+Chase Pennoh amen
had mine in December, was really cold.
Had to piss on the move in between events during the crucible lol... had to make sure it was when we were on a curve in the movement and no drill instructors in front of me or behind me were able to see me.

KiloSixTV He’s definitely exaggerating. Didn’t he also say one of his rucks were 40+ miles ? lol okkkkkkk
Yes, it was heat-casing. It's when you become severely dehydrated and your core temperature raises to a fairly dangerous level.
Hey man, I enlisted in the Navy a few months back and leave to basic in October; every branch of the military has the same medical and enlisting station. or use the flash suppressor it helps to decrease some of the crazy recoil of the AN-94 or heavy barrel if your engaging targets at range
you forgot the warriors breakfast. everyone eats 5x their bodywieght even those their stomachs shank
Lol I ate too much at the warriors breakfast. Felt like shit haha
He didn't. He mentions it
these videos are always so interesting to me, im actually in the process of join the corps so always a big inspirition/prospective for me, thanks for these videos!
You won't like this question, but has anyone in your squad overseas earned a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, or a Medal of Honor?
You’re right. He probably doesn’t like that question
Your Marine corps mondays videos are great man. Really making me reconsider going into the Army. I still got a few more years to decide though.
which uniform did you like the most the green jacket or the Blue's and just because you missioned about how much you loved the LAV would you ever change your MOS to a 1812

DDG, you really give me that reality check about joining the Marines. Not only this video, but the others as well.
Leave dec 8th, life dream, cant fking wait
january 26 for me. oohrah
have fun
How was it?
How did you do?
@@paulj61600 it was dope, very different person now, in a good way
He was an infantry Marine, what would he know about MCT? Other than it's like 3 weeks long and we call it the Marine Camping Trip.
He didn't express it well but what he's getting at is, once you've earned the title "Marine," no one can take it from you. You carry that mentality and that pride with you for the rest of your life. in your nxt marine corps mondays do a thing about why the marines has a rivalry with the army
my last marine corps monday! ship next week, thanks for the entertainment, stories and advice man.
.... tell you if your dead depending on the descisions you make EG: running out in a rambo-esc run while underfire. the time on fieldcraft (2-6 days) we get about 4 hours of sleep each night and that is with pyrotechnics going off around you constantly, each day we hardley stop moving and food gets scarse.... i just find it hard to belive that the USMC is doing training equal to that of some british teenagers?
Hey DevilDogGamer you should make a marine corps Monday of your first confirmed kill.
It's a lot harder to do when you're already running low on sleep before you start and you've been pushing your limits for three months straight. Staying up and playing video games between sessions of work does not even compare.
One more year till i graduate highschool. Im in NJROTC and i hope to become a USMC Tank Crewman.
Man that's absolutely crazy. That's deep. I can only imagine how hard it would be to end sometimes life, even if they are trying to do the same to you.
Devil, thanks for clueing me in to Terminal Lance...I had to quit reading it so I could start breathing again, lol...
Why
We did something like this in the army. It was 5 days and we did more stuff. But we had 2 mres a day. And slept with 50 percent security.
Brother I know how you feel during boot I ate shit on my rifle running up hill broke my nose. Had the REAPER the next day they wouldnt let me go to the aid station and we only had 1 MRE. by the time I got to the warriors breakfast I couldnt chew my face was so swollen.

once a marine always a marine
yeah dude he asked that nobody request that and that he might some day when people stop asking
I had ivy when I was about 3 or 4 it did not feel like anything. Of course I fell off a few feet bed a few times and landed on my head.
Next Monday you should talk about everyday life when in the Marine corps. Like a basic day as a marine.
Already did that
I love the series bruh. but you think you can make one about your rank? Like about ranking up, pay grade increases, and just ranks in general? Thanks!
Hey bro don't use the foregrip it has way more negative effects the positive ones and instead use eather one of the suppressors
Devil I enjoy u playing dayz but when do u putting up more vid
hey devil when is the next survive series video.
what... because his parents cant tell him how it happened or who it happened with?
has devil mentioned what bn from what he's saying sounds like 3rd bn around the summer time I graduated dec 18th Friday 2015 2nd bn echo company plt 2097
I just graduated boot with 3rd BN, K Co and the Crucible was the most miserable experience of my whole life.. God damn
watch his old videos. He said he doesnt really want to talk about it
I love Mondays on your channel. Keep it up!
there isnt going to be a 54 hour crucible in the SOMC right?
Hey man, I the next M.C.M, could you make your weapons as close to what you used when you where in service? Ex. M16 / Holo / grip, etc. I think it would be interesting.
he's still in the Marine Corps..he's just not active duty. Once a Marine, Always a Marine.
Hey Devil, if you mentioned it before then never-mind, but what weapons did you use during your deployment?
Haha i remember the crucible.
we were the last platoon in follow series, and our DIs told us the reaper aint shit.
and then they said dont look up - well i did.
and i looked up, and up, and up and saw some little lights at the very top of the mountain haha.
halfway up a kid with shin splints snapped his leg.
saw him in MRP during marine week.
devil dog you are awesome next year at 16 im signing up for the royal marine commando's ive been training by getting fit and being a cadet any advice on what else i should do?

he a american marine you guy sleep naked
im wanting to be a british marine but still we sleep naked aswell but meh im comfortable about seeing cocks i dont really care
TheBritishPratt hahaha respect 😏
+TheBritishPratt i guess it wouldn't hurt to start speed marching with weight (start with low weight and low dist, then work up so u don't fuck up your knees and shit). in training you'll do this anyway to build up to the 30 miles across Dartmoor, but it won't hurt to start this now.
One question, why do you use your pc for videos? Battlelog says your PS3 account is the dominant one :P
This crucible sounds badass! I'm thinking of doing the SAS selection (I'm in England), do you know it?
No, he left in 08' but would go back if he ever got the chance.
paris island or the one in califorinia
2am just got back from the gym
Why were you there for 6 months
Can you do a video on your graduation and family day?
You make my mondays more enjoyable :D
Not anymore
Very nice. Problem is that its more mental than physical.
never did it, that was after my time, I went through Jan-april 91
No, because your first kill (or i imagine so) isnt as bright and glorified as many make it out to be, a lot f times there are emotional repurcussions from your first kill and its not something people like to relive.
i am about to become a poole and the pt sessions are getting hard any advice? not the running part or pullups its the carrying people type stuff its so hard for me
yep the warriors breakfast, i remember when i went through and we came back to the rear we had that shit, mad i was blocked up for like 2 days.lol
I have a question DevilDog, I went to a hospital for depression when I was 12 and only took the meds for like a month. Does this DQ me from the Marine Corps or do I still have a good chance of getting in? Also I've heard you can fraudulently enlist and they can't search medical records, is this true?

I leave Monday July 21st for Parris island. Rahh
brennmann1234 It's coming up man, good luck!
hey is it harder to being infantry or the marine air force
Ya standing at attention for more than ten minutes is a pain marching band is nothing to the marines obvious but standing their holding a five to ten pound peace if brass starts to hurt after a little while. Also there seems to be alot of shiting in the marines.
Whats the "silver bullet" ?
Hey Devil, I heard every unit has there own candace for the Marines, what was your unit's?
its 2:00am, just got back from the gym...
You should do another MCM Q&A
We still want those chat up lines
im enlisting in 3 years, but i heard that they are changing the training to more anarobic (quick burts of speed), is that true? i mean i run track and play football so that probably wont hinder me too much
I wonder if they allow caffeine pills?
Ya dude my brother is a marine and is a trying his other 4 years TheDevildogGamer
Devil, talk about female Marines! I'm going to be one soon, leave in 8 months or so. I don't care if your opinion of them is good or bad I would just like to hear it. Thanks
were you at PI or San Diego?
Took random adjectives from the Thesaurus, didn't you?
this isn't mw3 since i have xbox live and i'm like 6th prestige
Well good thing I can stay up for three days straight easily, that's including working too.
Love these vids DevilDog! Keep it up!
Fucking cold on west coast. Hootch dripping cold water kept me awake. Good times though. But bot really.
the military more than likely prosecute you if they find out you lied to them in the enlistment process....
devildog what about people that used drugs before just asking
As long as you come out clean at meps you are ok just never use them again
watch his meps video
as long as you don't have a criminal record you will be fine
Noel Ondo Go on the USMC website, they probably have some shit on it.
Where you the guidon in bootcamp? And how do you get chosen for the position
Im 11 and since i was 5 years old i always wanted to be a marine
this is battlefield 3 right?
hey Devil what is your opinion on females in the military?
Just enlisted in the Marine Corps and swore in the other day.
6:22 didn't we hear this before?
Did u get sick a lot in boot camp
You need to do this more often!
In SOI I got up to 28 pull ups... you will get it done.
is that the microsoft secret zombie apocalypse game?
