I used to watch your videos and heard your stories about your time in the Marine Corps before I shipped out. 8 years later nothing has changed haha hurry up and wait for everything!
Hey man! I just wanted to say before I went into the corps I loved watching your videos they helped me so much and in a way prepared me for the shitty lifestyle, I love your content!
you have no idea how much people are asking the same questions. Sad thing is the military is cutting back and there is so many people joining, making others who would need waivers harder to join.
No matter how passionate someone is about a job, they will always be curious about the paycheck. Just because they ask about it, does not mean they`re in it solely for the money.
Will you be doing medal of honor warfighter? I think you should. Your stories are awesome and I would defidently love to here the other guys' stories. Keep up the great work!
have you ever been part of a rescue mission, or been involved in a patrol that suddenly became a fight sorry that is another fight story but i would like to know.
Hell yeah I think having more marines on the show would be great, having the perspective of an officer and NCO would lead to all sorts of great stories, looking forward to it man. :)
0321 is force recon, and you can apply for that without them tellinig you,but you are just applying for the 0311 field and to have the chance to go through the training its not 100% that you'll be recon you have to pass the training
I believe that they have no restrictions on joining as long as you are a us citizen, it doesn't matter where you are born just where you are a citizen.
The U.S. Marines are an amphibious force that specializes in naval deployment and has its own air and naval assets the Army is an occupation force and covers land warfare it doesn't have its own naval and air assets aside from gunships. The Marines are also usually more elite then the typical Army grunt.
Samsizil my dad was a fighter pilot in the navy during black hawk down and in iraq, how is that not respect and im preatty shure he was a badass because he was a topgun instructer
I want to become a Scout Sniper for the Marines. I love shooting sniper rifles and its been my dream to be in the Marines as a Scout Sniper. What sort of stuff do i need to do first so i can then go into boot camp for a Scout Sniper?
dont worry if you cant do a pull up just practice you might want to be able to do 1. at boot camp by the end you will be able to do a lot more than 0-1.
devildog, you just described an average day for any service member i think. you described to a T any day i spent in the us army as a 92y. (unit supply). hurry up and wait is the military way..
Question: Why don't you play with your apps/others in teamspeak? I play in there everyday and you're always locked away in a private channel. Question: If many people disliked somebody (App, SOMC, Associate) would you remove them?
i like how my comment has been flagged. its the truth, the majority of them are joining because of monetary issues. Most of them online are constantly asking what is the pay like, how much will you get for BAH, will this pay for college. Some join for other reasons, but its overshadowed by those who are joining with the only intent is to get college benefits.
@ActivityPoltergeist pretty sure army is better for long term but thats not always the case. If you have any doubt or not sure whether to join the Marines, its not right for you.
You need to have above average mental and physical capabilities, have above average accuracy with your gun and have to have a little time left in your enlistment... I think...
I'm 17 I enlisted earlier last year and I leave for bootcamp on August 11th, my MOS is Infantry Security Forces my question is, What is my specific job and what will I be doing on a day to day basis, my MOS is in the infantry field so will I be working amongst 0311's
So I didn't watch that far ahead, but from what I have heard if you are not in the field then you are either taking online training courses or cleaning up around the barracks, and sitting on your ass, bored as hell, until nco comes in and tells you what to do next or until the duty day is over.
have you ever worked with other forces such as the British marines and or army? what would you say are the noticeable differences in how the US marines and other forces work?, or what are your experiences like working with other countries if at all you did?
I'm not sure in the Marines, but in the Army you could go SF and go through an Airborne school. I think they're more about para-jumping and whatnot. :P
dude i love ur vids but just sayin british armed forces infantry r trained to ur spec ops standerds (i mean no offence at all) but the amount of times u leave a town and the british come in. and i think the marine core left afganistan amm i correct cos i dont think i am. (still no offence)
im a huge cod fan,but i went to my friends house and played bf3 it was more fun then cod and i had no clue how to play!so shud i wait to buy bf4 i buy bf3 used for like 30$ ? also ive thought about joining the army and these marine mondays have been tugging me too and away thet decision, keep it up!
Surprised to hear that a "average" day for a marine was pretty much exactly what I went through during a civilian 6 week training exercise with the NZ Army. Minus anything involving weapons that is... We were just civilians after all. :P
LOL Devil I went through the same shit you went through when I was in garrison and I was in Motor T....always gettin the Green Weenie n shit. Gotta love the Corps! ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Alright, my try (fail) at a unique question for you DevilDog: I've heard that the Marines have a brotherhood like no other which is part of the reason on why I want to join. But is that all just more propaganda, am I being lied to about that also, or is it the truth? And if so, would you be able to give an example that relates to you maybe?
DevilDog, Hopefully you will answer this, I am curious. What are your decorations that you earned in the marine corps (Whether its a medal, a ribbon, or a citation or anything really) Would be cool if you answered, but I dont care to much if you dont.
It's true what he said about the chow hall I was in quantico, virginia and their breakfast is like heaven they had everything. I was in mcjrotc I just went there for a drill competition
Hey DevilDog, i dont know if this is to personal for you but how did you come back to your parents? did you just come home, or did you suprise them with something. I love seeing those videos of Servicemen/women surprising the parents or kids.
Hey DevilDog i think you should do a walkthrough of Metro Last Light its a new game that is going to release or maybe is already relesed. And nice vídeo too.
hey I want to join the marines because I heard they have a really good martial arts... and my friend whos bf is a marine, she said they only let you d o martial arts on your free time and maybe on your lunch time... is that true or how it work the marine martial arts program? please answer. TheDevildogGamer
Every marine is a rifleman...and a janitor
Clearing rooms and cleaning them
I used to watch your videos and heard your stories about your time in the Marine Corps before I shipped out. 8 years later nothing has changed haha hurry up and wait for everything!
"God I miss that taco bar..." hahaha
Hey man! I just wanted to say before I went into the corps I loved watching your videos they helped me so much and in a way prepared me for the shitty lifestyle, I love your content!
I used to watch these videos all the time before I joined I'm a year half in and POG life is the way to go, diesel mechanic, actually do shit,
its all a conspiracy between the lieutenant and the staff sergeant to mess with you
Now i want to be a grunt
they release us so late because they don't wanna go home to their wives
On point!
Lmao
Exactly the same, every single detail with the Army. When the Senior NCO's get bored they play fuck fuck games.
Field Day.....PT......Room inspection.......more field day and PT. Ohh Rahh !!
you have no idea how much people are asking the same questions. Sad thing is the military is cutting back and there is so many people joining, making others who would need waivers harder to join.
No matter how passionate someone is about a job, they will always be curious about the paycheck. Just because they ask about it, does not mean they`re in it solely for the money.
damn I was in bootcamp when this vid came out hahah good times. you helped me a lot when i was joining dude.
im a german army vet, mountain infantry. and i tell you, same here.^^ sometimes it was fun as hell but a regular day was fucking boring :/
I could listen to you for hours man.
I honestly enjoy reading the comments and looking at all the military debates.
Generation Kill was a story about Force Recon Marines on a mission. it wasnt their whole deployment.
Miss these! Bring these back!
Hell yeah I think having more marines on the show would be great, having the perspective of an officer and NCO would lead to all sorts of great stories, looking forward to it man. :)
12:56 who are his Marine DayZ friends besides Upchuk? Mac?
would be great to hear stories from the Capt. Surely different from what my OSO would tell...
They are paid the same as any other branch, by rank, but money really should not be you're reason for joining.
0321 is force recon, and you can apply for that without them tellinig you,but you are just applying for the 0311 field and to have the chance to go through the training its not 100% that you'll be recon you have to pass the training
I believe that they have no restrictions on joining as long as you are a us citizen, it doesn't matter where you are born just where you are a citizen.
you say that a grunt gets no action but who gets the most action that is not a ranger or a special unit
my friend gets paid ~550 per 2 weeks. after boot camp. which is pretty much a job that pays 10/hr but marines give you more by benefits.
The U.S. Marines are an amphibious force that specializes in naval deployment and has its own air and naval assets the Army is an occupation force and covers land warfare it doesn't have its own naval and air assets aside from gunships. I listened to all the MCMs before I went in. I'm out now and just wanna say thanks for all the advice, devil
Last Light isn't set for release until 2013.
How do you tell your parents you want to join the military if they don't want you to?
03, 3:00 A.M... 04, 4:00 A.M.... It was used generally like, not 0304, he was saying like, "Well, we usually get up at about 3 or 4 o' clock...
All the respect in the work for you man
Samsizil my dad was a fighter pilot in the navy during black hawk down and in iraq, how is that not respect and im preatty shure he was a badass because he was a topgun instructer
love the MCM's saw 1 and was immediately addicted too it
no, im serious people do join because of money, it is recent. This is the most common question they pose: I want to join because i cant find a job
@11:22 my JROTC master gunnery Sargent always says smuckatally? is that a marine thing
***** smuckatelli... basically the guy/the name used for the guy who always fucks up in some way/gets fucked up in some way
ok lol thanks i hope thats not me lol. cant wait!!!
I want to become a Scout Sniper for the Marines. I love shooting sniper rifles and its been my dream to be in the Marines as a Scout Sniper. What sort of stuff do i need to do first so i can then go into boot camp for a Scout Sniper?

just keep working on it man. pullups aren't that hard to improve on, just keep trying until you get one, then do one a few times a day
i think you have to be in america for a certain amount of years before you can become in the military
Same shit in the army infantry
Im swearing in this December but i wanted intel! But they dont have anymore space so im thinking of doing infantry
I'm definitely going Recon if I become a razors edge bad ass in the Marine Corps.

I don`t see how his comment suggests that at all. Please explain.
How did you react when you were getting deployed
do you use the M1014 combat shotgun aka M4 beneli or Super 90 i belive they call it
As much as I love your stories, i'd love to hear the other guys stories!
You need to have above average mental and physical capabilities, have above average accuracy with your gun and have to have a little time left in your enlistment... I think...
You can only wear your Formal Dress Blues if your CO Let's you or if you are going to a funeral or a wedding.

Can someone tell me what the diffrence between the army and the marines are, because it seems to me that its the same thing.
So I didn't watch that far ahead, but from what I have heard if you are not in the field then you are either taking online training courses or cleaning up around the barracks, and sitting on your ass, bored as hell, until nco comes in and tells you what to do next or until the duty day is over.

That doesn't sound right, why would they rely on you to train yourself how to take down an armed combatant unarmed?
????
Shmall Blark .
Yes they do, I THINK that there are black belts on base to teach you or something like that
Kevin Gonzalez I know they teach you in boot camp. After that, i'm not sure, there's better people to answer this question than me.
Tell you what DevilDog, what do you think of airsoft? Do you think they are a bunch of posers or would you consider going out to play in Operations?
What is your opinion on the current war? Also, who do you think we will go to war with next?
what made u want to join the marines in the first place?
