Hey! About the title of episode 4, it's a quote taken from the holy book of Hinduism, shrimad bhagwat geeta (one of the key sacred texts in Hinduism). It actually goes like: "Let the fruits of action not be thy motive, nor let thy attachment be to inaction" which majorly implied that you should focus on the actions not because you expect the fruits but for the sake of the action itself. So work without worrying about its consequences (kinda anti-anxiety quote).
If I understood it correctly Hashimoto was trying to see how Ayano would react to him hitting on Kei to see if Ayanko and Kei were closer than what they had shown but the anime cut a lot of his screentime and how much actual time he actually spent following Ayano to try and get info that he eventually got tired of it and said screw and did what he did so it made it more creepy and funny in a way
Don't worry [no spoilers], Kiyotaka is also hopeful she can change him, because 'love' was not teached to him in White Room so it's a new concept or lesson for him. It's just that his white room common sense always goes first. So he is indeed hopeful.
25:58 I just adore Kei. I get that she's messed up in her own ways, but she's a sweet, grateful, earnest girl. As badly as I always wanna see her and Kiyotaka find joy in each other, I end up feeling bad for wishing that on her. Kiyotaka is an amazing thriller anime character, but if I had someone I cared about shoe interest in someone like him, IRL, it would not be east to back her up.
Ayanokoji is a machiavellian. His mindset from the white room is that winning is everything. Everyone is pawns in a chessboard and he is the one who uses them until he achieve his goal without thinking about what'll happen to the ones he uses
I wonder if at some point they'll adapt volume 0, because they answer a lot of the questions regarding why Ayanokoji is the way he is. It's hard to classify it as psychopathy or sociopathy (although it's possible to see a bit of each at various moments) when it's something closer to a bizarre "innocence" due to lack of experience. In the novel we have a lot more of his thoughts at each moment, so it's easier to notice how he questions himself sometimes about why he is like this or how he reacts internally when experiencing many of these things, which are normal for other children his age, for the first time
@jackhsu3458 With good planning, it would be possible to include some events in flashbacks in the next seasons, but just look at the cuts they choose to make and you can see that "good planning" is not the strong point of the anime's production. I think a more direct adaptation is difficult because the vibe of volume 0 itself is very different from the rest of the story (justifiable considering what is shown).
Faroh, idky exactly, but I was really digging your attitude this video. The energy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Just felt like complimenting the effort. I love this series.
You just oversitimed Kiyotaka too much. Yes, he is OP, but that doesn't mean he can beat everyone or outsmart everyone. Kiyotaka X Honami is all the way.
To anyone who wants to understand Ayanokoji better, read volume 0 of the novel, it's a prequel of his time in the white room, not related at all to this school, so it's not spoiler
Some shady shit goin awn

Ayanokouji is not a psychopath or sociopath.. He is a Machiavellian
30:56 In the light novel those chocolates is from Kei, Airi, Haruka, Hiyori & Kushida

yea I was about to comment this too I think he's a machiavellian as well tbh
the quote on the 4th episode means you only have control over your work not the fruit of the work.
Hirata has an eye on Koenji 🗿
29:50 she has hope in ayano refrigerator 👆🏻🤓
Ayanokoji is a pianist and caligraphy expert 😀
fun fact is that your getting closer and closer to ayanokoji first time in the anime giving some kind of expression on his face))

I hope so too, if they are going to adapting vol 0, most likely will be in season 5 or 6, maybe even 7.

I think if there's ever a season 5 it'll most likely adopt volume 0 in there
man when ever ayanokoji have a chractor development that change it with "that should do it" .
The five chocolates that ayanokoji got were from sakura, kushida, hiyori, ichinose and karuizawa
I think Ichinose didn't yet give Ayanokoji chocolates, it was Hasebe.
Hasebe and not Ichinose.
not kushida omg 😭
@@yigitkozans Kushida gives chocolates to all the boys, is part of her masquerade (its said in the LN).
This volume in the LN is slow but I think is well written, its worthy to read it because here starts the last arc of the first year.
This is YamaGOD's time to shine🗿

The animators have left out a lot from the light novel in this season
