So in CFI Spin training - any thoughts/suggestions on if it is better to do this in an aerobatic aircraft or in something that is more commonly trained in like a 172? This is on my bucket list to get taken care of this spring in prep for CFI.
I've done upset recovery training and spin training in a super decathlon. They are designed for the maneuvers and it's my opinion that they are much better to train in because they are very easy to get in and out of spins. Can you spin a 172? Of course. Is the recovery process the same? Also yes. But I think the experience of being able to train on them in aerobatic aircraft is much more meaningful because if you can handle the visual and physical nature of doing them in those planes then you'll be very well prepared to get in front of a spin in a more docile plane from the incipient phase.
Awesome instructor. Encouraging folks in this style of training makes all the difference in the world to empower confidence.
That looks so fun! If only I could afford the training 😭
Nice work guys. Patrick, is that you?
Stall and yaw. Nothing can spin like the mighty Tweet.
