As an owner of a 2023 Street Bob, I love it. I bought it because of its simplicity. I previously owned Ducati motorcycles and this bike is totally in a class of its own. While not super fast it does have good acceleration and handling (the ape bars do limit its handling in tight turns) it is very easy to operate. I find the rear brake on my 2023 to be better than most bikes (mine does not have ABS brakes). I did add a crash bar which saved my bike when the wind blew it over while parked or someone knocked it over. LED turn signals upgrade was a must and a new seat. I live close to the Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles) and I am anxious to try the bike on this road.

Hi Bob. Beautifully presented. There were no nearby dealers in Suffolk when I was riding so a Harley sadly was not a practical option. Wonderful head turners, and with massive low down torque surprisingly practical on our roads. BobUK.
Got mine; a 2021 in Vivid Black. The stock seat is terrible and I replaced with a Saddlemen with the extra gel cushioning. What a difference! The stock seat is low and when I ride, my knees are above my hip and results in a leg cramp, and has a built in 'backrest' which is awesome. The new seat raises me just enough so my legs are level with the ground and don't cramp. Next is to remove the stock mufflers and put on Vance & Hines. I've forgotten all about my sportbike!! :)
I ride all sorts and I switched from a ZX10 and Versys 1000 to a Fatbob 114 in 2018. Haven't looked back. The Fatbob 114 is an absolute hoot to ride, and comes with good brakes and suspension from the off. I regularly ride and tour on other machines, and in 2019 I rode the Fatbob down to Austria with my touring crowd (Wrong Direction we call ourselves :) ). Other bikes in the group include Multistrada, Superduke, Tracer 900, Capornord etc. The 114 motor is so strong through the range it was never found wanting in the fast twisties, plus it does all you need at touring speeds and hit an indicated 130mph on the Autobahn. Compared to my old 04 1200 custom sporty which felt really top heavy, the new street bob is 100 lbs heavier but have a lower center of gravity feel.
Thank you mr Bob! I tried the Standard last year and it handles much better than Harley's used to do. The new frame makes a big difference. I rode Harley's for many years and the last one I had was a Dyna Street Bob -07 with the 1600 engine. Fine machine, indeed. But the Standard is waaaay better! Cornering no problem at all. If I had one it would be with the footrests in the middle (standard) and lower handlebar, like the Electra. Now that's comfy!
@@D_Dowg626 I got a low rider s, depends on how you ride and what you are looking for, honestly go to a demo event and just ride them all. Then buy a used one that already has all the parts you want. HD will charge you 400-600 to service your bike, free tires for life is a scam, my free rear tire cost $160 to put on. Spend your hard earned money somewhere better
Try the Sport Glide, think you'll like it. Extremely versatile as a tourer or a cruiser or remove bags and fairing and instant bike for pottering around town. Biggest problem there's no stage 1 kit yet for 2021 Euro 5 engines I believe. Nice video though thanks Bob 👍.

Great review on a great looking bike, BUT there is that usual missing break disc on the front wheel that really should have been there before it left the factory, HARLEY do this with a lot of these big heavy bikes I would have expected that to be a euro 5 compliant safety issue, that 2nd break disc on the front wheel would be the first mod on this bike for me, then a stage 1 and COBRA short shots

I like the Fat Bob much better. This thing has truly stupid handlebars. Torque rules. No substitute for cubic capacity. I love my MT-01 back in Portugal. 1670 cc and a mere 263 kg. But I am coming round to really liking cruisers. Good review.
Thanks mate! Not sure I could live with the bars on UK roads in the long run but they are kindof comfortable on a straight road. Makes more sense for the US perhaps...
I rode a chop with mini apes for a couple of years and they are really comfortable. As a general rule, if its a gentle slope downward from your shoulders to the grips it's great. Proper apes where your hands are above your shoulders however....
The original Street Bob was probably the last visceral bike they made, simple motor and frame combination. Hopefully this revisits that, obviously sans the Dyna frame.
My Yamaha Raider is a 113 and is absolutely nuts. It pulls HARD. I can't imagine having as much, if not more, torque in a lighter frame on a narrower tire. 😰
Excellent review. I would fancy one of these but at £14K that's just too expensive.....and with the extra tariff kicking in soon HD are going to suffer big time I suspect.
Sounds like a Briggs and Stratton lawnmower Handlebars from a 70’s bicycle Indicators from a 70’s motorcycle LCD screen from a 70’s Casio Watch (except smaller) I’m sure there’s a lot of good stuff but I’d have to go straight to the accessory catalogue!
Previously, you could get it in a 114ci, just I got my FXLR in a 114ci from the get-go. Harley Davidson has had since release of the M8 Softails a 114ci upgrade option for the 107s, which you could get at the time of purchase with full Factory warranty. The upgrade is installed by the Dealer. And BTW, the cam which come with the upgrade option produces more power/torque than the 114ci directly from the Factory. And the bike you are reviewing has a relatively small fuel tank, cool looking, yes, but not cool when you're riding with a bunch of mates and you keep asking for the next fuel stop, please.
@@djunknwn Yes, OK for what I refer to as the 'capucinno set'. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not my cup of tea so to speak. I bought a bike to ride it not go to the shops to hand out. You don't need a touring bike to tour or go on a half decent day ride.
Thanks MotoBob, as a Japanese bike owner I’ve always been intrigued by HD. Really interested to hear your thoughts and I have to say I’d love to give this one a ride...
Fellow Japanese guy here too lol, rode this bike last week. I could definitely see myself buying a bike like this. It was wicked fun. To bad the demo day was to short to really get a good feel for it.
If it had forward controls stock I would be more interested. But I prefer this bikes overall look and tank with simple cap. I don’t like the huge plastic crap on the other models tanks.
I know that if you put slip ons on that bike you HAVE TO tune it as well, and you have to use the Harley tuner. The bike comes stock with a high flow breather already on it, so adding slip ons makes for a complete stage 1. This info is straight from owners of this bike so it’s reliable information. I would love to get this bike and I actually might just do that later this year. I just bought my first motorcycle last October though. A 2020 iron 883 and for now I just love my bike so I’m definitely not ready to part ways with it yet.
Stupid question please guys…. If I bought a new one of these for £13,500.00 and parked it up in my garage, what would it’s value be in 4 or 5 years time? Asking for a mate. Thanks 🙏
I have the softail standard. I personally am happy with the 107 over paying the premium for a 114. At the end of the day they both feel quick when you open up the throttle, but unless you want to dump a ton of money into the engine. You’re still slower than most modern cars. I love how playful it is though. I’m used to big baggers so this feels like tossing around a bicycle and it’s easy to sit at angle without getting any wavering. The stock seat is possibly the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on besides a fishing lure. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a basic cruiser unless they need a bigger fuel tank like the slim
Slower then most modern cars? STRONGLY disagree lol. It’s probably similar in the 1/4 mile as a 6 speed 2021 Mustang GT, I could see the 10 speed auto GT being quicker. The econobox’s, trucks and SUV’s/CUV’s that make up 99% of the cars on the road don’t stand a chance in terms of acceleration… while it’s not a ball of fire compared to most sport bikes, it’s plenty quick compared to a lot of cars. Mid range punch most vehicles will be hard pressed keeping up…
@@robertprosser6856 me too. Coming from sport bikes but always being fond of harleys, my options are very limited. The softtail fat bob and lowrider S as well as the sportster xr1200 and roadster are the only Harleys that really appeal to me. I really love the looks of the fat bob

Sounds like a Briggs and Stratton lawnmower
Handlebars from a 70’s bicycle
Indicators from a 70’s motorcycle
LCD screen from a 70’s Casio Watch (except smaller)
I’m sure there’s a lot of good stuff but I’d have to go straight to the accessory catalogue!
Did you know there actually a USB port on the left side of the neck in front of the tank
Nearly a thousand cc per pot, nice 👍🏻, For U.K. roads, front twin floating discs would be nice to stop the Hog ! 🤔
Can it fit a tour pack?
I can tour on this bike after going full club style.
I think it would be cheaper just to get the low rider at that point
Lol 130-150 mile range …… Mate that’s plenty of range for a non touring bike lol
@@djunknwn Yes, OK for what I refer to as the 'capucinno set'. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not my cup of tea so to speak. I bought a bike to ride it not go to the shops to hand out. You don't need a touring bike to tour or go on a half decent day ride.
For significant update, on Harley, read ... new colours, lol. Was on em for 21years.
Thanks MotoBob, as a Japanese bike owner I’ve always been intrigued by HD. Really interested to hear your thoughts and I have to say I’d love to give this one a ride...
I'm seeing a LOT of guys switching from sport bikes over to this Street Bob.
Fellow Japanese guy here too lol, rode this bike last week. I could definitely see myself buying a bike like this. It was wicked fun. To bad the demo day was to short to really get a good feel for it.
You just like it because "Bob".
Great review Bob.
I couldn't live with those skinny ape bars... 🤔
Thanks 🙏
Wow ! I just rode this same bike at the Cardiff dealership a few days ago!
👍🏴🤘
I can't park my Triumph because my neighbor takes up 3 of the motorcycle parking spots with his Street Bob...
I’m 6 foot. Will this bike be ok for me?
I'm 6 foot and I fit OK when I sat on it. Hear there's a mod to shift the footpegs forward, I'd definitely want to go for that if I had one.
Bob reviews Bob.
At least it wasn't the fat bob :)
What is 155 nm compared to SAE torque (155 ft lbs)?
About 118 ft lbs
@@mf2652 Thanks, that's
impressive torque.
Good looking bike but that small gas tank won't work for me.
Mid range punch most vehicles will be hard pressed keeping up…
Never said a word about the suspension/ride quality?
3:11-3:42. Not very detailed but he mentions it briefly. I’m pretty happy with how mine rides.
Not sure about that styling, looks like it‘s made to appeal a nine year-old
The other colors look better BUT overall a very good looking bike
Styling is totally personal taste, but I liked this one! :)
I agree, I love the low rider s but this does look like it’s for a child
@@motobob I totally agree mate and mean no offense, just felt I had to get this off my chest :)
Beautiful bike))) 😜
I speak as a former Dyna owner, Harleys are far, far too expensive now...and with upcoming tariffs will be out of the range of the majority...
Totally agree. Too much. 6000 euros more than in the US to begin (in Spain)
HD gets many people into bikes, which can't be a bad thing, even if it's a cringe/over-priced brand.
Not gonna hate on two wheels.
I love these!
56% import tax on harleys now
They do look good but seem a bit on the small size..i'm 6ft 1 and currently ride a big old Suzuki gsx 1400 which is a lot bigger compared to this.
Just wish it had a 5 gallon tank
Those handlebars ... Why ?
I believe 100hp or close to
Need to save £6000 to £7000 and part ex my (18plate) 2015 xjr1300, this harley floats my boat and then ger v&h short shots
A nice standard H-D silhouette but the excessive matte black colouration and exhaust sound compliance are repulsive.
This or the fat bob 114?
Fat bob if you want the best handling and performing bike HD has to offer. Get this if your wallet is tight and you just need a bare bones softtail
@@calincampbell5637 FAT BOB I think👍
@@robertprosser6856 me too. Coming from sport bikes but always being fond of harleys, my options are very limited. The softtail fat bob and lowrider S as well as the sportster xr1200 and roadster are the only Harleys that really appeal to me. I really love the looks of the fat bob
Why never shoot from the other side ? although that the great view to see the bike with big block engine. To pity.
The instrument cluster is really not good.. I was expecting an old school Instrument Cluster...
Also the Headlamps are really bad...
Off Road Ride plz bro
oh god, I feel a purchase happening.
So much smoke from the exhaust! 🙄
Condensation...
I am working in other country, i am thinking holding it for 3 years then sell it, japanese bikes drope their value very fast 😭
1 first one
he had fun "driving" .... man dont know difference between a car n bike
Yeah hate when ppl say i drive my motorcycle too it sounds weird ay
He actually said 'drive out of the bend'. The engine drove the whole machine out of the bend. He does know the difference. Trust me.
