- My Transitions Pack For DaVinci Resolve here: www.sonduckfilm.com/product/d... - Finally, a DaVinci Resolve tutorial! As an After Effects user, learning Resolve is like learning a new language. However, to make the process easy, I'll be breaking down these 5 great beginner techniques for DaVinci Resolve. To create these motion graphics, we'll be using Fusion. Fusion allows Resolve users to access the full potential of VFX and Motion Graphics.
We'll be covering backgrounds, titles, motion graphics, and how to apply effects. DaVinci Resolve is a node based software. Meaning everything has to be connected to a Node Tree. You will also learn how to navigate that process.

You’ve taught me so much about After Effects over the years, and I would love it if you would be willing to show us how to do all those same things in Fusion. Honestly, I’ve wanted to switch to DaVinci for a long time, but the thought of re-learning motion graphics in an unfamiliar node-based software is intimidating. I literally got so excited when I saw this video because if you are willing to make the tutorials on how to do your style of motion graphics in Fusion, then I’m 100% sold on switching to DaVinci. Seriously, thank you in advance. You have no idea how valuable this is to me. Have a great day!
It would be great to see more tutorials on motion graphics in fusion from an experienced motion designer. I quite often use tutorials on AE and then just repeat the same tools in fusion.
I would like to see advanced techniques and adaptations of AE techniques in fusion.
There are a lot of materials on fusion dedicated to complex compositing, but not enough on motion graphics so far.
Yes, more tutorials for DaVinci Resolve please!!! I’ve been using Resolve exclusively for personal and freelance projects since 2019.
I made the switch at least 5 years ago now. I love the stability and how everything is integrated. I do a lot of VFX and color grading so fusion is awesome. I could definitely use more motion graphic tutorials on resolve
Wow, I've been struggling to do motion graphic in da vinci and there you are making a concise and easy to understand tutorial. Thank you so much!
Great tutorial man. Would love to see more on Fusion. Very helpful
Great tutorial, nice and quick, doesn’t treat us like we’re dumb and go too slow, but covers so much. Well done!
More Sonduck Resolve tutorials - Absolutely ! Looking forward to it !
Perfect pace to follow with. Thank you.
That was the Tutorial i was looking for for a long time. Thx man. As a non beginner with reolve i like the speed in the video
Thanks for the quick pace.
This channel could really boost Resolve use for motion graphics. Keep it coming. 😮
Yes! Please more tutorials on DaVinci Resolve Fusion. This video is awesome!
Very interested in watching tutorials for resolve! Extremely grateful for this video and would welcome more.
Keep the tutorials coming! No other channels go do into motion graphics in fusion and alot of people want to learn them (including me)
Been waiting forever for this
everything is going towards Resolve . I did. and I'm glad you began too. thanks a lot
This was super helpful 🤞🏾 thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing! Will definitely try this out. 😊
Yes! More DaVinci Resolve tutorials please! This one is great!
Great Tutorial! I originally switched to Davinci Resolve for 3 reasons: Node based editing, better colour grading and I don't like Adobe. I later found that the Edit tools are really efficient, and using Expressions and Macros can really speed up the work flow. Davinci doesn't have an intuitive UI, but then After Effects is a real dog's dinner of a software. As soon as I got the hang of Davinci it became a joy to use, and it's getting better all the time.
The only downside is that there are so few tutorials, and most of the decent ones are focused around film editing and colour grading. As a fan of your After Effects tutorials, it was like Christmas to find that you guys were considering doing Davinci tutorials. It really feels like Davinci is gaining momentum, and there is a gap in the market for content that leans towards motion graphics. Please continue!
Thank you for sharing! I still have ways to go to get a hang of Fusion. But that is true for the lack of tutorials when it comes to Motion Graphics. Thank you for the support!
I disagree there are a lot of tutorials for davinci resolve
Good stuff man!
This was a great video mate... awesome! tryin to get my head around fusion so yes please... more Resolve tuts
Very helpfull, thank you!!!
Yes, please! This type of stuff is exactly what I need thanks!
Great tutorial. FYI, you don't have to add a merge node everytime you wanna merge something, just add the output of a node to another node's output and Fusion will add a merge node automatically. You should definitely make more Fusion mograph tutorials.
great tutorial!
Yes 💯‼️Would truly appreciate some DaVinci Content, Thank You !!!
I just found this video and I am soo happy I did, it looks really good. I made the swap from adobe premiere pro to davinci resolve mostly due to price and also other people suggesting it. but another big factor was the fact that i was sick of haing to use 5 apps to do 1 thing well and it made no sense when davinci could do it
wow thats amazing, thank you very much for this👍👏
Thanks kindly for a great tutorial. I am a DaVinci Resolve beginner, rather a beginner on TH-cam and video editting so I find this very useful. You are a great teacher. Keep it 👆 Thanks again.
🙏🏾
Yes!! More Davinci tutorials! 🙏
More Fusion MoGraph, please! Quality Fusion MoGraph content are always welcome. Good work, keep it up!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial, I’ve been switching to Davinci for a while now because of the monthly subscription fee. Please make more Davinci fusion tutorials ❤
Yep. Sonduck and Davinci. You know it makes sense ! Can't wait for regular content 😎
Yes PLZ more tutorials for Davinci !!
Thank you for this video.. I am new to DaVinci trying to learn it. Came from iMovie so a real noobi to video editing.
More fusion tutorials and other editing tips and tricks that can enhance our editing skills. thanks for your generosity is sharing content God bless you.
Awesome!
Premiere Pro hasn't been working for the types of projects I create. It's been nothing but a pain, headache, and worse! So I'm switching. As someone who isn't trained, nor is video production part of my artist skill set or actual content (just backdrops to my performance art pieces), I am learning as many beginner tips as I can before I redo an entire project Premiere refused to export the day of my first massive staged (filmed with audience) piece. I had to make it a Technical Dress Rehearsal and use my deeply flawed sound check reel...crossing fingers all the tutorials aid me in creating it fast! I have 3 weeks...Thank you for this. A short primer with so much information! You've given me confidence that I'll be okay and this will be easier than PPro for how I edit and what I need to see on screen!
Thank you for this tutorial. It would definitely be helpful if you can do more Davinci Resolve motion graphics tutorials as there are very few of them.
This was superb more please
More Davinci please! This is great.
Thanks!
Thank you for the fusion tutorial. Currently I'm in the process of switching to Davinci. Mainly because of cost. I haven't used fusion so far, so I'm looking forward to more fusion tutorials. Will probably continue using After Effects but that may come to an end as Resolve continues to get better and better. I always have liked your tutorials as you explain things clearly. 👍👍
Yes, I can see Resolve being more beneficial if you originally just used Premiere and AE. Can't wait to see where they go.
Thank you!
this was great i hope you do more. for me AE is great at advance motion graphics and certain animation needs but i feel like you still have to use premiere to do your video editing DR kinda covers all the bases for my needs without having to jumps back fourth between PR and AE
Yes we want more on this plz
I love this video very very much
You are awesome bro
Awesome mahn :) Keep em coming :)
Good stuff
great tutorials😊
wow! i like♥
love you guys keep going
Thank you Tony!
Thank you for the tutorial. Please, share more videos on Davinci resolve.
More DaVinci Resolve Tutorials Please
I used Fusion several years ago when it was Blackmagic Fusion. I used it for 3D works and I also used AE then. I never knew Fusion could be used for complex motion graphics. But I did one or two basic ones then. I have downloaded DaVinci resolve but not installed it. However with more tutorials like this I would like to go and see how I can improve on my DaVinci Resolve
hoping all your best premiere tutorials will have a fusion counterpart. looking forward to it
I have switched to Davinci from the Adobe suite and there are not enough good tutorials on Fusion motion graphics.
Thanks for this! Great info
Are you planning on making any presets or templates for fusion?
I think such tutorials will be really usefull, Resolve is like everything in one, so it can get creative ;)
Need more n more davinci resolve tutorial vedio❤❤❤
I'm really intrested in Davinci videos!!!
Please do more Resolve tutorials!!
Thanks for explaining it so easily. I'm still getting to grips with this software.
Is it possible to do motion graphics using a imported png file or even a eps file?
Thanks.
Made the switch primarily for stability, cost, color grading. It's taking much longer to embrace Fusion bc of the lack of good tutorials (wink wink nudge nudge). Lol great video, thanks!
it would be perfect if you release a Davinci Tutorial each month ;-)
Make more fusion tutorial ❤
More Fusion please!!
please make more DR tutorials :) very good video
Nice video. How can I save this as a reusable element? Like if I wanted to make the animated line in to a circle for future videos?
Yes please!
Yes please more davinci
FINALLY
Thanks for the tutorial!
I can't figure out the part of text size. When I transformed the second word - it doesn't change the size as you show here. What could be a problem?
Thanks
yeah, more resolve please 🤩
I switched to DaVinci because it's free
More resolve 🔥
More please!
Hello, definitely some Love for Resolve, specifically Fusion would be appreciated. Why Fusion over AE. People get bored as time goes by and learning is inevitable. Thank you.
More resolve tuts please!
I left adobe because they massively overcharge for what they give.
i starting doing same point as you in the free DaVinci 18.6 and everything gone will until i start doing the polygon icant change the width or any thing in it ido the changes but nothing happen ,also when i want to do the circular(Ellipse) cant merge or bind it to the background
do you know the cause?
and thank you for the easy full specific steps video
how did you get that custom color chart solid colors? my davinci gives 5 different tabs to choose from and none of are that. also when I off set the keyframes for the lines why do some nodes light up red likes it inactive?
More video with davinci resolve!
Need more motion graphics tutorials on resolve
This was very helpful thanks , but what if i wanted to put the grapphis over my already made video instead of using the gradient background? How woukd i do that?
You change it to alpha and the background will become transparent :)
Hey yes please more tutorials on davinci. I'm editing what will probably be my last video in permire pro cs6 right now. Cs6 is easy for starters but lacks all the features that cloud has. I can't shell out $33 every month just for pro not including after effects. I refuse to eat ramen and starve for Adobe. Switching to davinci. I love your tutorials for after effects and want to stay teathered to your channel. 🎉
I'm in college they want us to use Premier Pro I like pre pro, but I like resole too. I have not work with resole in a while forgot some of my skills. I need help from the start can show how to use in resolve? Thanks
This was great, but... After doing the Write On animation I couldn't change the text size, no matter what I tried. Of course, Character Level Styling was still in place to make the colors. Turning off Character Level Styling makes changing font size work, but now no colors. What am I doing wrong?
I made the transition from Adobe to resolve. I got tired of lag and the lame reason why abode crashes was tadobe said if you have a Nvidia card. But I'm still learning resolve, only know the basics I wasn't able to learn more due to clients projects.
Yes please.
Is this all doable on the free version? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy the studio version
yessssssssss
More Resolve motion design ans VFX compositing tutorials please
can we change colors of line and curves?
How do you match fusion motion fx to music? I'm so confused why I can't hear the music in the background to match to...
More please.
How would we be able to change the colors of those lines?
More more please
I have bought your after effects packages and never got them working on ae or pp. Just too much to learn.
Switching to resolve because it is an all in one tool with one payment for life. I'm done paying Adobe for the same software each year with minor tweaks.
I would LOVE to work with you on creating these. I pay an editor to teach me but would love to talk through an ideal course for resolve.
I make classes on business and data and would love to collaborate and host you teaching classes. Namely one on getting into resolve and one on "building an editors mindset".
Thank you for buying our templates.
Please email me at motionduckhelp@gmail.com. I like to hear more about what you're doing with courses.
