Pretty sure the way Dave explained it was that DDE is sub letting. Hoonigan doesn’t own the building they are just a tenant. So the landlord will likely just lease it out directly to DDE.

They combined into one large company and are now dumping the combined debt to start all over buying companies and getting ready to file again in 5 years.

actually Ken was the one using it as a dumpster fire. He was just using the company to roll his debt into so his other companies looked better then they did. Like dude said, clearlake became a thing after Ken put hoon into 500m in debt and was going to shut it down. they came in and bought it thinking it probably had some good marking deals but that wasnt the case. Basiclly he was doing what the banks did before the housing crash of 2008.
So Hoonigan is a financial Patzi.
