This was one of our high school projects before. But we haven't used any machine, we just hand stitched each yarn in the canvas to make a potholder
But is it hard if it's done only by hand? We were taught making circular rugs through a sewing machine.

Hurts my eyes when i see you are pulling piles out of the primary fabric with spatula because you use TOTALLY WRONG glue.
