Hmm, its like a mix of what youd have seen in the dos games and what we actually got in skyrim. Cool, but i think id prefer more simplicity. That being said, if id never played skyrim before, this would be more favorable in my opinion because going into it for the 1st time id expect something similar to crows perch in the witcher 3, just bigger. But since i have somewhere around 6000 hrs in the game, i already am used to whiterun being small and lacking any depth. So i just prefer mods that subtly fill in the empty space rather than adding entirely new things to the city.
Yeap. I completely understand your point and its perfectly valid. I actually had the same opinion as you when i started modding. Eventually my eye just got used to the bigger stuff and i slowly started liking them. That and also the fact that the witcher games are probably my favourite games in general lol, so i always have the scenery from the witcher 3 in mind while i am modding. Thanks a lot for your feedback tho :)
Well by today’s standards one could say that the map is small , personally tho i don’t consider it to be that small. And also if we consider that this game came out 13 years ago the map was literally huge back then.
Personally I think this looks awful. It's almost like something I would expect to see in Morrowind in terms of the lack of details and flatness of everything. The cities in Skyrim aren't perfect, but they still have a lot of charm to them, unlike this. I don't think the colors and the textures gel together at all like the originals do and it kind of reminds of one of those Unity or Unreal asset flips. But different strokes, I guess.
@@hillehai yeap , people just have different tastes , to some the simplicity of the main game is enough , and that is perfectly fine. For me i like this more than the base game. Thank you for the feedback tho :)
You could probably try to remove some stuff through console commands , like a few statues for example. Removing walls tho its just gonna make the whole thing look broken. You might wanna try the low version of the whiterun has walls mod, as it looks a lot more open. Or maybe even skip that mod completely. Thank you for your feedback tho :)
It is too pretty. The city expansion is great, but I like the run-down walls more. They show wear and tear, and that Skyrim is not as rich as to afford high maintenance. Having marble horse-head statues every 20 feet is just too much.
i understand what you are saying. But - to my head at least - whiterun is the trading center of skyrim. So the way i see it they would be able to afford something like that. Same way goes for solitude for example. Riften on the other hand should appear poor and worn down. But i definately hear your point. It just comes down to personal taste. And thank you for the feedback :)
A beautiful outcome indeed. Good job buddy
Thanks ! I appreciate that
Yeah man this looks awesome! Well done!
Thank you very much!
Love it! 👍🏻 I do like the vanilla version but this is even better. Love the higher walls and everything 😍.
I am very glad to hear that!
nice! you changed the cohesive texture designs and made the game look like an unreal asset flip!
Thanks a lot!
This is awesome! You good sir have earned a sub
Welcome aboard! And thank you!
You are easily impressed. I am not.
@@CommunistHydra okay?
Well done!!!
Thank you!
i really love it, it makes whiterun like it should've been at the beginning. I can't wait to see the rest of your remastering project ;)
Thank you very much , i really appreciate it :)
I give you an up vote, but I really wish you had included Nexus links in the description.

The marble horses look horrible. Probably some clevercharf garbage if I had to guess.
Nice lack of any sort of list of mods btw.
To each their own i guess
the real issue is the map scale, its far to small to have a good adventure

Whiterun is suppose to be an open city maybe remove some statues or make it more open by removing some walls

I think it works for whiterun at least because of how important whiterun actually is. it should appear more wealthy than it actually does in game
