I have 2 questions can you clear my dout
1) In any types footing from which point the development length starts
And if footing depth is less
and development Length is more how we can adjust the development Length in footing
2) if We calculate the size of beam
is, L,B,H = we get volume
So What about the percentage of steel present in beam
What is correct method to find volume of beam after deducting the voulme of steel occupied in beam.
Should we deduct the percentage of steel occupied in it or
We just take dimensions of beam to calculate volume and oder concrete.
