i was in beirut when the protests started (almost at the end of my holiday), and maybe because the airport road was closed british airways cancelled their flight to london 10 hours before its departure. i was rebooked at 6 am to a MEA flight from beirut to milan (and then lisbon which was my final destination). i did like MEA, i thought the service was pretty good, the seats were comfortable plus the food had a pretty good standard (i had knafeh which was the only knafeh i had in lebanon lol) . in the same day i flew with TAP the portuguese carrier from milan to lisbon, and i honestly liked more MEA service - the MEA seats were better also. I understand that things aren't perfect, but my impression of MEA was pretty good and i thought it was actually an underrated airline. but it's normal: we are always more critical about our own countries than the others. but one thing i know: while british airways cancelled their flight, and the consulate in my country didn't say nothing, the lebanse guy that brought me to the airport, the lebanese guy quickly changing my flight and the lebanese carrier, they all did very well and showed me that even when the unexpected happens lebanese people seem to be prepared. I hope you'll find the democracy you want, and start to have better life conditions, more jobs, less trash, and having the rich paying their taxes. good luck. I know one day I'll be back in Lebanon, truly loved your country. Cheers!

Great video btw my dad is a pilot in MEA and the plane you were flying in was one of the older models but if it was OD-MEE the newest one it would have been even better🔥🔥❤️❤️
It’s a nice airline, MEA brings the legacy of being one of the best airlines from the Middle East, it’s got the best pilots, the best cabin crew, however I wish MEA retrofits their A320s and A330s buisness classes and economy classes because on both planes they look dated from 2009. Also I wish MEA owns one or two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft or even 3 or 4 Airbus A350-900 aircraft flying to further destinations like Kuala Lumpur Malaysia or New York JFK or even into Tokyo Japan or Shanghai China or Hong Kong.
You must be kidding there is nothing at the lounge comparing to other airport lounges . As well as the airport very little choices and way too expensive. And most staff are very very rude. Had a very bad experience many times . تقريبا نصن بلا أخلاق.
