I love Pixi. I am mad at myself for waiting so long to try it. I have almost all the skin care and the makeup. I love it all, especially, the Rose Mist!! It smells divine, Mario B doesn't even come close. It's so refreshing to me. I keep it in the fridge and use it all the time, not just to set makeup. I love all the other sprays too but the Rose is my fav. $15 feels like a bargain to me for it!! Thanks for your review , loved hearing your thoughts. The best way to buy Pixi is from the Pixi website, use coupon codes and ebates.
Thanks for taking the time to do this awesome review! I’ve been using the glow tonic and loving it. I wondered how it compared to the ordinary’s glycolic toner.
Pixi holiday kits are currently 50% off on the site so this video is great timing Alice. I held off Pixi for years due to price till the holiday kits last month. I love the Glow Tonic on my super sensitive normal to oily skin. Less clogged pores and smoother skin without irritation or redness :) Previous exfoliating toners have been too harsh (eg FAB Facial Radiance pads burnt my skin red and dry) so this pleasantly surprising. Will bust out the Glow Mist, Peel and Polish, and Rose Flash Balm from my kits when I finish my current skincare. You got me interested in the mask now! REPLY
Tom Jones ohh good to know it works on sensitive skin too! It's tough for me to guess at that since my skin is usually not sensitive. Thanks for watching :)
I just ordered 2 of the holiday sets. Thanks for the heads up. I've only used the Glow Tonic before. I do think the Glow Tonic makes my skin look better then the Ordinary one for some reason. I'm excited to try the other products now.
i like pixi honestly. their star product, for me, is the peel&polish - it's a chemical and physical peel - lactic acid and papaya enzyme and i love it. on my oily acne prone skin it is amazing, best exfoliatior i've tried, next day glow type of stuff it's weird bc it's effective and gentle at the same time and feels like a spa experience at home. it even smells like mushed fruit or tomatoes. the glow tonic of course is a must on my list. but the rose flash balm peeled up on me and it was not hydrating enough and the rose scent was a bit too much. want to try the duo cleansing balm, the glow peel pads 20% glycolic and the mud mask.
ma plictisesc I LOVE THEIR PEEL AND POLISH! Have you tried their overnight glow serum, or their glow peel pads? I own the entire skincare line by them, theirs nothing I don't own that I haven't tried by them lol. Their rose flash balm, and their rose oil blend, their mud cleanser, it's all amazing. I talk about them on my channel all the time lol. Their rose caviar essence is my favorite. Don't you just love the smell of their peel and POLISH? I'm absolutely in love with all of the scents Pixi is SLEPT ON
nope, haven't tried the serum or the pads, i'll be shelling out some cash for new pixi merch in the future tho' since they kinda got me hooked lol. yeah they're kind of slept on tbf
I can imagine the rose balm balling up on oily skin - it's definitely more of a dry skin product I would say. I went ahead and bought the peel & polish; you guys are right that the ingredients look fantastic!
I absolutely think the price of this brand is very note worthy. If we are comparing this brand to say the Mario Badescue line which is sort of what I mainly think about when comparing this brand. A lot of their facial sprays etc are considerably more expensive (the Mario facial sprays are around $7 or $8 from Ulta). Plus when shopping at Ulta you receive beauty insider points for purchases which is a WAY deal than any Target Pixie sale. Plus, Mario Badescue goes on sale A LOT at Ulta. Its readily available at any Ulta store and I think its a much better bang for your buck.
The sprayer can be a bit finicky but if you slow down, hold it away from your face and do one full press and lift up then you get a finer spray than if you squirt, squirt, squirt like you are doing. And as far as pricing goes, look at regular old time drugstore brands like L’Oréal or Mabeline, and you are paying %20-$25 for a product. Crazy.
Glow mist... actually all pixi mist..here in Italy can only be founded at Sephora.each coste 20eur!!(pixi here is not cheap...it's not a drugstore brand as in us:(
Been using the pixie H20 skintreats for about 4 years now . Love it best product I've ever used I have sensitive skin and cannot use very many products with out breaking out This is amazing . I also use thier mascara. Cheek stain and lip balms . I'll never use another brand product . Every pixie product I've ever tried I've been pleased with .
So far I've only tried the milky mist and love it just got the make up fixing mist and definitely want to try more Pixi Products I can't wait to try the make up fixing mist and I definitely want to try more in The Hydrating Milky line and the Glow Line and the rose line and so many other products I can't wait to try more of they're products also the clarity line I definitely want to try
Pixie is akin to No 7... I go to Target and make a bee line to look at their stuff, but don't buy any of it because it's too expensive for drugstore. I do enjoy the items (from both lines) that I have though, including the Nourishing Sleeping Mask, which is saving my face from peeling off. I love watching you because of your educational background and everything that you bring to the table. Thanks for another great video! I'm just curious--what's your day/night job?
Alexis Crawford tbh I'm not working in my field - it's too limiting with a masters and I haven't decided which doctorate I'll eventually do. I'm working in what I'm familiar with for now: fitness and entertainment. It's a fun way to save as well as thoroughly think through which career path will be most satisfying (and which will have jobs, which is a reason I wouldn't recommend studying nutrition...if I'm being honest!)
Each company uses a different format, but you can usually type it into CheckFresh or a similar website. Otherwise, you can email the brand and they will let you know!
I’ve been so curious about all the pixi products. I only have used the Milky Mist and really do enjoy it. But I do think for this being a drugstore brand it is overpriced. Thanks for all this info🙂. Congrats on getting over 3000 subscribers💖
I have sensitive combo/oily 40-year-old skin, and I already use a 2% BHA (Paula's Choice FTW), but I'd been wanting to try the Glow Tonic. I've been using it every other night for two weeks - skipping BHA - and so far haven't had issues. I wish it were unscented, though!
gasparinha that PC 2% BHA is one of the best products I've tried in all these trials. I wish PC was more available - Ulta or Sephora should pick them up!
I tried the Glow Tonic when it first came out in Target and I was disappointed. It didn't seem to do much besides break me out. I am really interested in the Ordinary toner but I was worried I'd have the same experience as the Glow Tonic! I'm always drawn in by Pixi stuff but for the price it doesn't seem worth the risk of another dud lol. I really appreciate your review! I might just grab that Rose Balm ;).
If I'm being honest it's highly likely the break out was going to happen or was beneath the skin. Breakouts due to products only occur a good week to two weeks later because of our skin cycle. Hives however are something else and are an immediate allergic reaction.
Wai Wai wait. Setting spray = sets makeup = alcohol??? How so? Please elaborate if this wasn't a 'typo'. Also, I just looked up the ingredients and polyvinyl alcohol is the third ingredient. An odd choice, but this *will* set your makeup.
Mi'el Blanquea Esquivo denatured alcohol is a common ingredient for extending the wear time of makeup (i would actually say most "common" setting sprays rely on it, from what I've seen). You could also use humectants/polymers but those are not going to contribute to mattifying the skin.
Excellent video. I subscribed and I really appreciated when you refer to a product as good for Oily skin. I know you have dry skin but my skin is oily and sometimes dehydrated. So please do not forget about mention if the product will be good or bad for oily skin. Thanks. :). I REALLY love the fact you took the time to try the products at least two weeks before each video.
Luis Viera I really appreciate feedback from other skin types too - the more feedback I get, the more I'm understanding what to recommend for skin types other than my own. Reading reviews helps to an extent, although it's also made me very aware how many reviews are either fake, not thorough, or worse yet -- removed. Sorting out all the skincare is difficult, but I enjoy it! Thanks for watching :)
Hi Alice, Can you please tell me which type of "the ordinary" you use? When i check amazon, there are a lot of types of Glycolic Acid, one is 7%. Is this the right one? Thanks
I have a sample of the glow tonic, I haven't opened, because I do have very sensitive skin. Thanks for the review. You are my authority on skin care for sure. Have a great week...❌✖❌
Lisa Smith if you try the glow tonic, let me know how it goes for ya. I'm SUPER cautious with recommendations for sensitive skin types, but I see this works better than most Glycolic products for even sensitive skin. Have a good week as well :)
The glow tonic was made intentionally for sensitive skin, and for people with skin allergies. Look up Chole Morello here on TH-cam and go subscribe to her channel. She has accurate information about pixi and every single other type of makeup and skin care out there. She has millions of followers. This lady in the video here, has misinformed everyone about Pixi.
GIRL, I use Pixi skincare line every single day of my life lol and constantly talk about them on my channel. Pixi is slept on. Their products are amazing. I have the entire Pixi skintreats line, and use their products every single day. Their the only brand besides Sunday Riley that actually help my oily, acne prone skin. I've actually done videos on these products lol. Their rose caviar essence is my jam! Their rose flash balm, their rose oil blend, their overnight glow serum, their 5% glycolic acid mud cleanser, their too tonic, their glo tonic to go pads, their glow peel pads, their beauty sleep cream, their h2o skindrink, glow mud mask, peel and polish, double cleansing bomb, I seriously have all of them lol. I can't live without my Pixi skintreats. Their glow peel pads have 20% glycolic acid in them and their amazing. If anyone has experience with the PIXI skintreats line..thats me lol. Their 24k eye elixir is amazing too.
The Cherokee Gypsy your videos helped me decide what to buy! Ok, I did it - I bought the mini peel & polish. The set is on clearance on the website and $11 for 3 travel sizes is a fantastic deal. have to say 9:25 you saying "stuff" should be the thumbnail
I have to try the glow mist... I go through facial sprays like they're water. Thanks for the review--particularly fond of the pH test. 💕👩🏻🔬

Good morning, question- can you literally mix the Pixi with the ordinary product?
candice german I see no reason you couldn't, you would end up with a 6% glycolic percentage!
WOWWWE YOU ARE SO PRETTYYYYY

Love ur honest reviews!!!!!
Great review
Love all your videos chick♡
Pixi DOES have many "all around complete skin care routines". Pixi makes all their skin care products with face washes and moisturizer that match, along with primers. Also, there are many " routine" products. There's many that let you know on the back to use either a.m. or p.m and also let you know if you can use it for both morning and/or night.
There's also 2 skin care 3 step boxes. That are used 3 times a week.
Pixi is also not a "drug store product". Pixi products were made to order only online from the very beginning. Over the last few years they started selling the products at Target - Target carries many products that are sold at the mall and other beauty stores.
The prices are NOT "too high". Pixi is a high end makeup and skin care brand. That's why it's not cheap like " drug store products" because it's not a drug store product".
The rose flash balm is also NOT a moisturizer. It clearly states it's a treatment primer and a mask. It gives directions and says do not rub it on. That's probably why you didn't like it. Don't rub or it doesn't work. Moisturizers you rub and massage it into your skin. It's not a moisturizer. It's confusing because while you say you liked this product, you also contradicted yourself by saying you didn't like it.
Pixi is a high end product. It's not a drug store product. It's really annoying when you keep saying it's a drug store product. It's not... 🙄
By the way, the sprays tell you on the directions to spray CLOSE to the face, NOT away from the face. You have complained about every product because you're not using them right. The prays don't get in your hair if you cover up your hair with one hand and move around while covering your hair and spraying other parts of your face.
And comparing to Elf? Lol you really shouldn't even put your input on here. It's so misleading. Since you have a problem with spending "too much money on makeup and skin care" does NOT mean the product isn't high end!
You've done nothing but complain this whole video, based off of false information and because of misusing these products. Also, the ingredients listed are always the MAIN ingredients. They are not going to give every single ingredient, because that's how people duplicate and black market products.
This video was so annoying. Learn to use the products the right way and stop complaining about the price... if you can't afford it then don't buy it and then complain about it. It's expensive because it's a high end brand and it actually works. You act like Pixi is a ripoff the entire video when it totally is NOT. The reviews and ratings and also the high volume of purchases tell otherwise.
I cannot stand people who get on here and misinform people. It's also not right for you to try and get people to not buy Pixi. People in these comments are saying they were thinking about buying pixi but now they are not going to. Celebrities use Pixi. Celebrities also are constantly collaborating with Pixi, making new makeups and skin care. Chole Morello has million and millions of views and subscribers to her channel. She has this many because her information about products are CORRECT. She never misleads people and she always uses the product's the right way. That is why she is so successful. Pixi also recently collaborated with Chole Morello on a kit that has several different makeup products in it.
People - Pixi is AMAZING and has done so much for my life and skin appearance. They have so many testimonials everywhere how pixi has changed people's lives!
Last thing - the glow tonic was INTENTIONALITY made for people with sensitive skin and skin allergies!!!
Jenny, you do understand that she gave HER opinion of the products? I have to agree with the review on many of the products because I've used all of Pixi's products.. BTW, that wasn't nice that you compared her to another TH-cam beauty influencer. . . .. I might add, maybe YOU or Morello have an investment in Pixi products?
Jenny, I'm not sure what your intent was here, but you came off as sanctimonious and pompous.
I wanted to love Pixi, but their products burn my skin ;(
Aww ☹️ - I feel ya though, that was me and Burt's Bees!
i find cheaper brands.......can and "are" just as good/or "better" than.........hyped up brands that are probably "ok/work" but arn,t any better than "cheaper" brands..........Giving pixi glow a go at the moment, like you find it ok but wouldn,t go out of my way to buy it again.........but i,ll give it a "fair" go etc. x x x x
The more skincare I test, the more I agree!
