    This all looks so nice and I can’t wait to try some of it! When a brand comes out with affordable cruelty free skincare, an angel gets its wings. True fact.

    I'm so glad you tried Pixi again! They are one of my favorite brands, the glow tonics, peel and polish, rose tonic, rose caviar essence. I really need to try the glow tonics serum. I tried the retinol tonic and wasn't very impressed.

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They really are such a great brand! I think the retinol tonic is the ONLY product that didn't wow me. Not a bad track record!

  • @TheHauntedSelenite

    I am really glad you brought up the retinal issue. I had the same problem. I will try the way you suggested in the description box. I was using the retinal with the lactic acid and every night which might have been my issue.

      Yeah, it's confusing (and gets into personal experience/opinion) but I always think it's worth reassessing if something isn't working as well as it should!

    I love the ingredients in the Hydrating milky tonic. It's definitely one thing I want to try! I haven't tried anything from Pixi yet, I have to start some where. Btw, I loved your cucumber/cat reference, lol!

    Oooh! Thanks for sending me this link!! There are definitely some interesting products I want to try. I'm using Curology tretinoin/niacinamide/azelaic acid and Cerave hydrating cleanser/daily lotion, so the Pixi Glow Tonic toner may be perfect at night. I want to check out the Vitamin C for the morning, too. I'm 35, so I feel like I'm not doing enough if I only use cleanser/moisturizer and Curology at night 🤷‍♀️

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole

      I know that feeling, except it was instilled into my by a Lancome rep who told me I have mature skin at age 18 LOL (kind of lol kind of "😒", right?)
      I think skincare is very personal, and whatever routine works for YOU is your best option - you may benefit from more or less, it's just a matter of testing what works and incorporating what made a difference!
      Side note: that's a really nice blend Curology gave you!

      @@AliceintheRabbitHole I love it! I just have no idea what I need to supplement it with, or if I need to supplement it 🤣
      That was rude.... Kind of like the thing I read at 18 that said my skin would never look that good again. 18 is your peak. It's all downhill from there. Thanks...

    Wowww your face looks extremely clear!!! I would like to try the glow serum .do i use it alone or with an oil on top?

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Yeah I am SUPER happy with the results (most of which is the glow serum + a routine that agreed with me!)
      I used the glow tonic serum followed by moisturizer (vitamin C for the trial but it's not as much of a "must-have") followed by the Rose Oil Blend (a great product but you could swap it for Rosehip oil, the Ordinary's is good!)

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole

      Kendra ~ Thank you for sharing product recommendations, and the site Insta Natural. I've never heard of their site, or their products, and their site has piqued my interest. Have you ever tried their Glycolic Acid Serum. $24 with an ingredient deck that includes Glycolic, Vit. C, Hyaluronic Acid, Argan, and it has amazing feedback. Again, thank you for sharing! instanatural.com/products/glycolic-acid-serum

    When you do a two week trial with so many new products, how can you tell specifically why a specific product out of all the ones you try didn't work out or had a negative effect?

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! I'd say experience. I've done this so much that I know what I can and can't use together (ie only one active at a time to observe results), what to look for, etc
      But even with saying that, I still haven't wrapped my head around certain ingredients (alcohol is a big one. I still to this day am undecided)

      @@AliceintheRabbitHole thanks so much for the reply.
      I'm currently building my routine and it gets difficult z especially trying to see what will work with other products. What will play nice with makeup etc, as well as what will actually give benefits.

  • @Marshmallow_theog

    I've been using a couple products from the Pixi's Rose line nightly: Rose Cream Cleanser, Rose Caviar Essence, e.l.f.'s Nourishing Facial Oil, and the Rose Flash Balm to seal it all in. Then twice a week, I use the Peel & Polish, Glow Tonic, and Rose Flash Balm. At my age, I have normal to slightly dry skin with light acne scarring and some redness so the this rose line has definitely helped decrease the redness quite a bit. Definitely interested in the Vitamin C line but I was wondering what the difference was between the Glow and Vitamin C lines since they propose to do the same thing. Thanks for the video.

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah vitamin C and AHAs can give similar results (brightening/scar minimizing/acne prevention), but some skin types do better with one than the other. I'd add that you MIGHT be able to use Vit C during the day and AHAs at night (what I did that whipped my skin into shape so quickly!), but not everyone can tolerate that. Skincare is always this game of figuring out what works for us personally!

    • @Marshmallow_theog
      @Marshmallow_theog 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AliceintheRabbitHole Agree, that's why I'm half tempted to buy a trial size of the Vitamin C kit through Pixi since AHAs increase your skin's photo sensitivity. I think of their Vitamin C line as Glow Tonic lite. I would also love it if Pixi created a cleanser for that Vitamin C line, similar to the Rose Cream Cleanser.

    How do you use the Rose glow Mist? Before makeup? Thank you!

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can; it makes a great toner in your skincare routine, you can spritz it on Pre-Makeup to spread your primer better, or you can spray it on after makeup to blend together your cheek products. Or a touch up spray during the day. I adore mists because they are so multi-purpose!

    Another brand that That I Need to Try! Do you have that in stores? I just hear you say you order a lot.. I'm just wondering if it's price, convenience ( Like home delivery?) Or putting the final product in the order to get free shipping or ? How do you make The Decision with a new product? ( if it is available near you) especially when you are so up to speed with Ulta's ,Sephora's + other sales and prices.
    Why is it so hard for me 😳
    I've only ordered a couple of times, once had to return something, but I did finally get the product so it's not like I've had Horrible experiences. The only thing that is Horrid is the shipping costs😨
    (I mean, my friends have no problems..🤔)
    Have a absolutely wonderful week sweetie!
    I'm excited for all the events 🌈 there's 2 party's
    that I really want/need to get to.. Yey-💓.. got some new clothes 🤗 Exited as ~bliip~💜💙💚💛♥
    Thank God for Monday 😰
    We had a great time 😅♥but how happy am I to to get Home😊 I love our shower and Bed!😂😂✨
    Until the next 👋💗

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh yeah, I think Americans order a ton because of convenience! In general, if something doesn't work out, it's easy to return. So I can lay on the couch, make a Sephora order, get it in a few days, and if I don't like something - walk into the mall and return it for my money back. It's painfully easy. THERE'S A CATCH. I think we end up ordering and KEEPING so much more than if we didn't have these return policies!
      Ooh sounds like you have a lot of fun coming up! I feel like half the fun of parties IS the planning LOL! What to wear, what makeup to do 🤔🥳
      Hope you have an awesome week! ♥️

    I just wish pixi was available at ulta, then I would try it. I know I'm weird but I don't buy skincare and beauty at target. I wanna get points, coupons or freebies!

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha I hear ya! Well, with the rate Ulta is gaining brands, it's quite the possibility. I just saw KIKO on the Ulta site!! 😲😍 Ulta is really taking over LOL!

    • @janeburkhart4051
      @janeburkhart4051 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If ulta carried it you'd spend twice as much for it because they are wildly overpriced. Pixi is a great skincare line, so if you have and issue buying it at Target (really don't understand that) you can buy it from the Pixi website.

      I’d say yes, depending on the product you choose. The glow tonic serum would be one of my top picks for fine lines, along with a good hydrating moisturizer (i would recommend the rose flash balm!)

    If you layer that Pixi retinol toner you will definitely peel (that’s something I discovered by accident :-( I was so red) there is definitely enough retinol in there in my opinion 😬 I loved that toner but sadly the jasmine in there started irritating me :-( boooo
