You put everything I've been feeling since 2019 into words so so well!! I grew up watching anime and took my dreams very seriously as a result. So much of the shows I watched and books I read were about a main character going after their dream. I finally started seeing things a little differently my last few years of college, where it felt like just having friends and creating fun projects was actually the dream. Feeling constant pressure to do something "bigger" didn't feel like the dream, but just spending that time with loved ones and being creative when space and time allowed it - that feels like the dream now.

I should be sleeping but I’m sobbing and ugly crying right now. Charli thank you for speaking out the words that a lot of us feel. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my own experience, it’s that you’re not alone. Burnout is very tough and a wake up call on how we prioritize our time and our passions. Girl, you got me TEARING especially in that first half. I think it's so important to recognize that not all successes come from the fast lane. They can definitely be a slow journey and you're able to come out happy in the same way. Personally, I know work to life balance is so so difficult and it's something I need to work on. It's refreshing to hear someone else wonder the same things such as "what if it is hanging out with your friends and going home that day to work on a video for an hour or two".
I think I've known you for.. I think we're coming up on a year (wow) and although we didn't speak throughout the entirety of it - it's been really nice seeing you grow, seeing you try to implement things to better yourself and give yourself the space to play games, hang out with people and be happy in many ways.
I can't wait to see more of Confessions of a Storyteller. You want to become a storyteller but let me tell you... from this video alone - you already are.

"It is hard... wanting to achieve a dream that seems so far off" and as you also put in this video, it is crazy because when I achieve it (if I achieve it), it is never enough. There's always something else to achieve and it gets me more and more eager to be doing something and then I forget about mental health, and boom! Burnout as you said.
And there's so much more contributing for us to be like this, adulting is really hard and seeing you verballizing these thoughts is really really amazing, Charlichoo.
