Located on the Queens Quay West, Toronto's first automated pay per use toilet. Bulit in 2010 at a cost of $450 000 Canadian dollars. Recorded June 2024. #explore #toronto #citylife
I do remember my dad telling me we had to pay to use the washrooms in Toronto years ago! I saw you on a few of Henry’s lives too, have a nice Canada Day! 🇨🇦🌻
👍💯..That washroom was surprisingly sanitary looking (for being a public facility) that costs only 25 cents to access. ..... 😮 The automatic door slowly sliding closed like that is a tad creepy though. 😁
wow Sally you find some places to showcase, just 25 cents and all that service facilities, definately not for profit service and keeping it so clean costs. so only two of them, thanks you hit it again. good you did not get locked in and had to pay to get out, lol.
Thanks for this tour Sally! It was pretty clean. I guess if you really really had to go , hope you have a quarter because it's worth it. 😊 If you don't have .25 then I guess you're S--t out of luck😅
We’ve had these since 2010 around Melbourne & here in Geelong where I live I don’t like them ,the toilet paper is air thin & you only get 10 mins & the door opens 😅 least they automatically cleaned but still yuk I never thought about posting a vid about them & good to know you have them in Toronto thanks for the vid from Estelle 😊
@@tested123never heard of anyone getting trapped inside but that would be a real bummer 💩. It was built before 2010 so quarters were a thing back than but yes, sure would be easier if it had a tap feature for debit or credit cards 🙂
Very interesting video! Really enjoyed it.
Thank you Jennifer 🙂
Awesome video ive never seen inside. Thank you.
Thank u
Great to know if you're ever in need of a washroom. Thanks for the tour, Sally! 😊
Happy Canada Day Marg 🙂🍁 Thank you
@@onceuponacity Happy Canada Day to you, too! 😊
@@margd77 Happy Canada Day, Marg, I’ve seen you on HENRYS ttt livestreams and have a nice evening 🌻
@PatreceSunflower thanks, Patrece. Happy Canada Day to you too! 😊
@@margd77 Thank you🌻
It looks pretty decent and interesting how all the necessities are over the sink too. It’s good they have them around. 👍😊🇨🇦
The shelf life of this pay per use is 2010 to 2030...so we will see if the city keeps it or flushes it down the toilet.
Very interesting video ❤😊
Thank u 🙂

It did cross my mind...'What if I get trapped in here?" Haha 🙂 Now that would be a video Patrick 😄
Not too shabby for a public restroom.
Automated cleaning sure does work George.
That music and automated narrator 😂 best .25 ever spent
Haha 😄
That is pretty different lol I've never seen a pay washroom
Felt like I was getting inside a spacecraft or something with the music and door closing Adam 🙂
@@onceuponacity and the voice talking.... so weird
In Indonesia some places you have to pay it’s not much though in certain areas
@@onceuponacity I thought the same thing when I first saw them

Haha! 😆 Sure out 💩 out of luck Marie
From a personal perspective, I think this would benefit for most because it's probably one way of keeping washrooms clean. Is there a time limit?
Yes 20 minutes

My videos are a bit outside the box, thank you for sharing Estelle 🤗
Hello my dear Upon
Happy Canada Day Nida 🙂
just needs a tv with CP24 to help with my ablutions
Haha 🙂
I'll bring only my notebook in there because, after 20 minutes, I'd expect to have a motherlode of a sci-fi micro-short written and ready to upload.😉
Oh my! Haha 🤗
@@onceuponacity 🤣🤣🤣
I,m surprised it has,nt been vandelized, 25 cents is pretty cheap.
Suprising for sure given that some folks love to leave their 💩 on buildings. Thank u for checking it out Raymond 🙂
OHOHOHO NICE
Thank u Shazia 🥰
Who carries quarters? What happens if it loses power while your in there?
@@onceuponacity i was more thinking if it wouldnt open?

@@onceuponacity true
there isn't a physical bolt locking the door, so if there's no power you can slide the door by hand
@@grassytramtracks i did not know that...thank u Grassy 🙂
Bring your own toilet paper or tissues!!
Perhaps 🙂
