Reading the comments here and on other TH-cam postings of this piece, the nearly universal reaction is that it's hard to believe Mozart wrote it. That's how I've felt ever since I first heard it. By the way, I read somewhere that Mozart was studying Bach at the time, and he created the theme by adapting Bach's subject from the B Minor Fugue (#24) from the WTC, Book 1. Clearly, he was intrigued by the chromaticism.
Right? To me it sounds like a contemporary neoclassical composition. The series of chord changes in the treble seem particularly modern. By the way, I don't think there's a significant doubt about its authenticity (not that I have an inside line.)
This piece sounds so weird, and even more so as you are just waking up from a deep sleep and it happens to be playing. I have this on a playlist and on two separate occasions it happened to be on just as I was waking up, I momentarily thought the extraterrestrials might be communicating with me!
Great performance. One of Mozart's most unusual sounding works!
Right! Very strange piece. melodies are sort of unhinged, bizarre even & no melody but it is brilliant music.
If I heard this piece without knowing the name of the composer, I would never think it was written by Mozart 😂 so strange
Wow. I can't stop watching this thing over and over again. I JUST CAN'T.

Thank you for bringing Mozart to us. So beautiful!
If this piece is actually written by Wolfgang (who knows for sure?) it shows his true genius. This is modern by modern standards.

The moderator makes the fortepiano sound like an string pizzicato!
Very interesting.
Wonderful ! Thank you so much 😃
Bravo well done. IMO This is the strangest piece of music by Mozart
I might put K465 above it. K355 is also very strange!
@@tejasnair3399 k465 is strange I have heard that before but never had truly analyzed it, a very unique composition for sure.
beautifully played!
WOOOOOOOOOOW, THIS ONE ACTUALLY SOUNDS GOOD, WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME, WAY BETTER THAN THE CRISTOFORI, AND THE GRAF !!!
Just picturing Tom and Jerry sneaking around to this
Expresso and milk mixed for a perfect latte keyboard.
I’ll be real with you, I want to hear some Ives or Schönberg on this piano.
Great video! Alas, Mozart's year of birth is given incorrectly in the description... :)
Wouldn't we love to have those 2 extra years?
great i serch similar fotepiano or positive organ barroc
Love you're fortepiano
Wonderful instrument. Mr. Tsalka, however, probably thinks he's playing a Serabande...
Needs a steadier pulse and more mania, but nice otherwise.
Me daría miedo tocar un instrumento del siglo XVIII. Mucha responsabilidad!! Y si se rompe???
Lady Gaga would play beautifully on one of those.
