Liked your FPV HD mounting...Im sure 200mw would be plenty. I doubt it would reduce power consuption much though...Its a calm weather machine for sure...😳😏🇬🇧

Thanks 👍🏻 Yes I think 200mw would be plenty too. I just started off a bit higher as I didn't want to risk losing video on a bird with no FC 😅

What a great video!
Im on my second drift and used it for fpv but turned it back for LOS because it just flew so, so well. I have mine noseheavy because of a 3s 1300mah, but 45 minutes of flight time are no joke, right? I flew it on 2s 18650s back on my first drift and it had like 30 minutes of flight time... Probably more my experience but its fast af on 3s. I put yellow tape under the wings to make it more visible. Also be carefull not to rip those wings of, it took me like 4 months on my first one.
I really enjoy watching your videos and was stoked to see this video about this particular plane!

Hey Adam, such a great overview.
I am really looking for a small, quiet plane like the Drift, though I have a spare O3 system I would love to use. Do you think it can handle another 18650 weight and space-wise? Or can you recommend a completely different frame?
this is my first wing after a 9 year break from the hobby.

Hi, and thanks :) for me if I was going to FPV with an O3 I'd go with the AtomRC Swordfish: tiny.cc/AtomRC-Swordfish This is a great all rounder and super easy to fly and launch. Carry the battery and O3 no problems. Cheers

Nice FPV setup. Would suggest putting the camera on a pan servo. Think being able to pan the view, as a scenic flyer suits the Drift.

Thanks 😃 Well one of my flying buddies is the 3D printed planes man and he's got a few ready to maiden... but he had a baby earlier this year which meant I haven't seen him for a while 😅 and now the weather is getting fairly bad here. I'm sure they will make an appearance some time soon though.

I have both the white one and the black one obviously had the white one first the only thing I noticed about the black one is the foam is not nearly as strong I had it break in half twice during flights I've been known to hit 60 MPH with my white one and pull some crazy g-forces and it never snapped I have the video on my channel of it literally breaking during flight I have since you know fixed it it's still one of my favorite planes I'm not saying it's a piece of shit I'm just saying the black ones the phone is not nearly as strong or maybe mine had a defect cuz I haven't heard no one else say that they've had the same issue

Interesting. It really wouldn't surprise me if the different colours held different properties... a bit like how my friend who 3D prints planes has to completely change his settings when using same brand of filament but in different colours. Were you in hot conditions using the black one? Just wonder if the sun heating it up might cause the foam to go a bit soft?

@@AdamGdoesFPV yes the black one is a I thinking denser style foam maybe mine had some sort of issue where there wasn't as much glue within the phone I don't know because I have hit way faster speeds with way more g-forces in my white one and it's never broken apart my black one broke apart within the fuselage about an inch pass the rear Spar there's a video of it on my Channel or where it actually breaks apart in the mid air you can see where it starts turning to the left and then just dive bombs
