    I can only dream of doing work as clean as this. I love working on bikes, mainly BMX, still learning though. I would love a video on how the stencils were created for this or just in general the process for creating a stencil like this. This is information i just cant find!

    Loved this video thank you. Really interesting, answered loads of questions and that design is so subtle where after the first glance it draws you in closer to reveal that classy red effect. Fantastic and thanks for sharing. Alex

    Very enjoyable watch cheers👍I found it to be quite tense at moments (particularly the stencil vinyl picking).
    Nice choice of logo. It reminds of Love Spreads by The Stone Roses as guitarist John Squire wears a t-shirt with that logo in the video.

    Thanks for sharing! What is the glue that you use for the gold leaf? Did you have to thin it out for the airbrush?

    This is so crazy, I was literally about to do a sick marbled colorshift with the Saran Wrap technique white base jade to olive with variegated leaf on the bike I’m about to buy.. I was also contemplating a varigated leaf marble base.. black base wrinkled leaf randomly with a light transparent top coat. Would love to hear your thoughts on that idea. Great tape work 😝 💪 have you ever burnished with varigated? How many damn guns do you have!? I can’t believe you use a gun for sizing.. 😂

    What do you use on the cotton to remove the extra gold ? water? To prevent that extra gold leaf sticking to the residue would it work to apply the gold leaf without removing the stencil...just removing it after? I’m running into that problem but with a small and complex stencil so gold is getting in between where it shouldn’t...and very difficult to remove the sticky bits afterwards..

    Great stuff! Do you make “UCI approved” as a waterslide or a vinyl sticker?

    Great job! I've done a few of my own bike frames, but never to this extent. What type of paint guns and airbrush do you use?

    • @fatcreationscustompaint
      @fatcreationscustompaint  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi we use iwata airbrushes they are so reliable especially as we tend to abuse them :/ our main spray huns are mainly ANi they are really good value for money and we love them. We used to use Sata guns they are definitely superior but you pay a price. And its just weather you think its worth it. We like ANi :)

    Hello amazing work. Can you tell me why you have to clear coat the candy before doing the gold leaf ? Can I economize on clear coat and just put gold leaf over candy then clear coat all of them ? Thx

    • @fatcreationscustompaint
      @fatcreationscustompaint  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really sorry for not coming back. The candy colours can bleed into anything you put on top so a good 2 k clear coat is required to seal it before applying basecoats etc. For example if you were to do a white logo on a candy red the logos would go pink. The solvent in the base coats draw the colour out of the candy

  • @slippycam
    @slippycam 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi it might be a silly question but I’m assuming it’s a solvent based paint in the airbrush? I see a lot of info out there for acrylics in airbrushes but less for solvent based

    • @fatcreationscustompaint
      @fatcreationscustompaint  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Elena, yes we use solvent based paints here, we find they work best for us especially when doing many layers stenciling
