As a Finnish UMK and Eurovision fan, I think that we have a great start this year with the first two songs. The standard has been set, and it´s high, but at the same time I´m almost certain that neither Neea or Nelli will be the winner of UMK25. You make an excellent point when you say that Nightmares is more catchy in the short run, but you think that you will prefer Hitaammin Hautaan in the long run. Personally I think that these two songs are quite equally catchy and well produced, but I agree that Hitaammin Hautaan will probably have a longer and deeper impact on me.
I've listened to this song about ten times today already because I FEEEEEEEEL the lyrics (lucky enough to know finnish), but I'm not convinced it would do great in the ESC. I doubt the finnish people will send this (either) to Basel, but I still love it for me ❤️
I really love this song. Nelli has such an incredible outlook on life! Nelli Matula has shared that she was diagnosed with a rare, incurable disease-a genetic immune deficiency known as CVI. Her song Hitaammin hautaan ("Slower to the Grave") is about being happy and grateful for the chance to pause and enjoy life (like watching the clouds) while others rush through theirs. She expresses gratitude for being able to take her time and live longer. I've listened to this song so many times, and each time it brings me such a good vibe while also deeply moving me with its message. This is going to be big radiohit in Finland. 🇫🇮♥️

I think this can be a grower if I listen to it more. 😅. Normally the best songs gets me with the first listening. This one and the first one didn't do that. I feel like the two songs are good and good quality but kind of souless, like something is missing.
Well-produced, as always with UMK songs. This is a bit more schlager than "Nightmares". I can't see either of these as my faves tbh; pleasant but not outstanding. Btw this is nowhere near as good as "Ylivoimainen" .
No because that would be absolutely nonsensical but this will be a radiohit and will bring UMK more credibility like we literally can't have 7 crazy out of the box songs if we want the contest to remain as popular as it is with established artists too finding it lucrative opportunity
