I loved Bishop Sheard advice to married couples. This was just wonderful. I like what Bishop Sheard said about "Black Marriages Matter". It's something that we as Black people and Christain people should really work on.
I'm not Pentecostal but I truly enjoyed this conversation. Love the 20 minute sermon idea. Love the idea that he started his church as a WORD centered church. I've always said you must know the Word in order to know what to shout about. Love the Family first sentiment. My Pastor would always say how can you Love God and disrespect your mate. This couple speaks todays language WITHOUT being vulgar or getting down and dirty. I could go on and on but the bottom line this was a Beautiful conversation.
I am a single woman that has taken a lot of notes. And I am a single woman in ministry that is waiting for God to seen someone in my life to cover and be able to share God ministry with that I Know will not be fulfilled until that special man of God come and love me as Christ loved the Church.❤️

This was so refreshing to watch. Bishop and lady karen are such a beauitiful and inspirational couple . Growing up in chicago having churchy parents , i love the clark sisters. Im not religious or christian, i grew up as a church kid and i never will forget my upbringing , as a almost 40 year old millennial, i still listen to gospel music almost every day.
What Karen said is life & marriage advice in just her admonishment of her husband & it should be greatly valued as a Word from the Lord "I wanted a man who would love God more than he loves me, and sometimes I have to reel him in & say ok, it's my time, but I dare not compete with God"! Hallelujah!!! Many don't know that when your husband serves he belongs to God first. The second part is right too "we have quarrel, but the wonderful thing is when we come back together...". I love that Mrs. Sheard stands by her husband in her proper place, but Bishop Sheard also stands by her in her calling of Ministry & Voice. It's a Beautiful union. Praise God!!!

This is beautiful; I truly admire this couple. They're not only husband and wife; they're good friends to each other and have a lot of respect. "ALL" husbands and wife's should "NEVER LET NOBODY DISRESPECT THEIR SOUL MATES." Bishop is so deep in this interview until I'm actually saying "WOOOW" out loud. However; he is also very funny; he made me 😅 laugh. This interview taught me personally that there are some successes we will not have unless we have somebody to share them with. 😱 OMYGOD

Lady Karen, you said one thing that has revolutionized my prayer life. Liston Page asks said to you "you don't like preaching now". and your response was (and I am paraphrasing) that you enjoy preaching the word of God but you have to put more to it. You said you have to put more work behind it. The lightbulb went off in my head. I have been struggling with prayer for years because I compared my prayer life to others. Friends would tell me how they sometimes sat and read before God, or journaled their prayer. Some didn't speak at all. I tried all of those things and I never felt like I had prayed. it was not until I was in full-blown praise and worship, could I hear from God and be able to intercede for people as he was leading or just SEE. When lady Kren said work, it all came together for me. Prayer for me takes a lot to get started and prepared for and the actual prayer is like work. Then I realized that I am working with God and for God and I can't compare the way he has anointed me to do what he has called me to do, with others. I can accept this calling to pray a little better now because of these words. I too am a preacher and I have learned that I can preach with minimal prayer but I can't live day to day. I am not a good listener, can't keep my mouth shut, be nice, be a loyal friend, or a good wife, and the list goes on, without working with God and for God in my private prayer time. Thank you Lady Karen for your transparency and authenticity.

It's such a beautiful blessing to see after 36 years married, they still have such fun with each other and bring out the best. Best advice EVER: ask for a man that loves God more than he loves you & you'll have your time, but know you can't compete with God! The blessings here are evident in both of them with God first. When Bishop was talking about being a leader vs being a boss in the relationship it moved me to see how Lady Karen celebrated what he said...just beautiful. There was so many nuggets in this like when Lady Karen spoke of protecting each other’s hearts wow she is truly his rib..I don’t feel any faking here it actually moved me. So glad this is the new leadership of the C.O.G.I.C organization
God has really blessed their marriage and relationship. I remember them dating at the cathedral on Jefferson when he responded to her with an "Okay Karen.". I just looked at them and went on about my business. It had to be in the early to mid 80's. Yes Mrs. Clark-Sheard, every wise woman builds her house in wisdom. Praise the Lord for you all ministry. Your Mother Mrs. Clark was a blessing to me, in that, she is unchangeable and steadfast in what she believes. She is still with us in spirit. Sister Heath.

I watched this on replay. The analogy that Bishop Sheard gave regarding the challenge of making in-person attendance more attractive than the viewing experience was profound. I think that is a great lens for all persons who are planning worship to really see the ministry through.

This is beautiful; I truly admire this couple. They're not only husband and wife; they're good friends to each other and have a lot of respect. "ALL" husbands and wife's should "NEVER LET NOBODY DISRESPECT THEIR SOUL MATES." Bishop is so deep in this interview until I'm actually saying "WOOOW" out loud. However; he is also very funny; he made me 😅 laugh.
This interview taught me personally that there are some successes we will not have unless we have somebody to share them with. 😱 OMYGOD

Lady Karen, you said one thing that has revolutionized my prayer life. Liston Page asks said to you "you don't like preaching now". and your response was (and I am paraphrasing) that you enjoy preaching the word of God but you have to put more to it. You said you have to put more work behind it. The lightbulb went off in my head. I have been struggling with prayer for years because I compared my prayer life to others. Friends would tell me how they sometimes sat and read before God, or journaled their prayer. Some didn't speak at all. I tried all of those things and I never felt like I had prayed. it was not until I was in full-blown praise and worship, could I hear from God and be able to intercede for people as he was leading or just SEE. When lady Kren said work, it all came together for me. Prayer for me takes a lot to get started and prepared for and the actual prayer is like work. Then I realized that I am working with God and for God and I can't compare the way he has anointed me to do what he has called me to do, with others. I can accept this calling to pray a little better now because of these words. I too am a preacher and I have learned that I can preach with minimal prayer but I can't live day to day. I am not a good listener, can't keep my mouth shut, be nice, be a loyal friend, or a good wife, and the list goes on, without working with God and for God in my private prayer time. Thank you Lady Karen for your transparency and authenticity.

It's such a beautiful blessing to see after 36 years married, they still have such fun with each other and bring out the best. Best advice EVER: ask for a man that loves God more than he loves you & you'll have your time, but know you can't compete with God! The blessings here are evident in both of them with God first. Be intentional!

When Bishop was talking about being a leader vs being a boss in the relationship it moved me to see how Lady Karen celebrated what he said...just beautiful. There was so many nuggets in this like when Lady Karen spoke of protecting each other’s hearts wow she is truly his rib..I don’t feel any faking here it actually moved me. So glad this is the new leadership of the C.O.G.I.C organization

God has really blessed their marriage and relationship. I remember them dating at the cathedral on Jefferson when he responded to her with an "Okay Karen.". I just looked at them and went on about my business. It had to be in the early to mid 80's. Yes Mrs. Clark-Sheard, every wise woman builds her house in wisdom. Praise the Lord for you all ministry. Your Mother Mrs. Clark was a blessing to me, in that, she is unchangeable and steadfast in what she believes. She is still with us in spirit. Sister Heath.
