Life complete btw I've been a fan since you crashed the r6? I believe? Or the f4i whatever i wanna say that was the first video I watched. Keep on keepin on man you give me motivation to shit one main reason why I watch.
I’m so happy for you man. For a while there I was worried you were going to get too overwhelmed with all of the projects (not that I doubted you could do them all). You’re killing it bro
Sometimes I can't believe this is the same guy that while being higher than Kilimanjaro, grilled chicken at 3am and talking about the universe and just generally making everybody who watched that video feel so much better about themselves. Thank you Dan for all that you do❤️
Dan deserves way more credit than he gets for this stuff. I’ve always loved that his content doesn’t come from his want for views. He’s just doing what he loves and we’re along for the ride
Hey Dan! It's not related to the vid, but I remember you mentioning that you liked hearing about how things are going, and I wanted to say I'm buying my first vehicle soon, a 1998 Ram 1500 Sport, it's in flame red (like the twister truck I'm pretty sure) it's beat to hell and back, but it's a good deal and it's my friend selling it to me, and I'm excited to do some crazy stuff to it like you've done to your builds!
@@smalldoseofmeful Haha if it makes it any better, I've got the emblem from a Dodge Dakota somewhere in my room, the next step is to get the rest of it
Congruity? You think I watch for congruity and chronological order? Nah Dan, I watch cause I like you, your channel, and the shit you do. Been around since before your R6 crash and won't be going anywhere till you stop uploading.
Dan I would just like to say I love the way your video/editing skills have grown it's become super relaxed and just chill. I actually fell asleep watching you video earlier and had to re watch the whole thing
I think some full enclosed boxes in lower section of the rear center would be badass. Cut a section out that’s covered by Plexiglass and RGB lights to illuminate the subs. I was gonna do it in my 14 Single Cab but never had the confidence to do so but your attitude of “You can do anything, It’s just work” is amazing and I am starting to live by it
Dan, helpful trick. Use a light colored sharpie for your sketching, then use the black sharpie for when you clean up your lines. Helps seeing your lines better while cutting
I'm home sick with the rona so I can work on any of my projects because I'm so tired and dizzy and oddly cold yet hot. Watching this made my day way better.
Always scrolling through TH-cam wondering what to watch, as soon as I see dans self proclaimed “big dumb truck” or any of his other amazing thumbnails, I click on it no question… big fan of the channel man and always have been 😁 cant wait to see what’s to come for the dually
What you’re doing with the straight pieces is very common. If you end up doing a lot of work with the router I would suggest making a handful of jigs with different radius bends and shapes that you can always trace over onto something else using the same method. I’m excited to see how this turns out!
I feel like this is the perfect time to sneak in a nice little hidey hole in that beast of a center console, yakno, for candy or something you might not want to share with others. Also that behemoth is going to have enough space to conceal a damn RPG. awesome work Dan.
Well of course it will have some sneaky spots! Who wouldnt want that?! I feel like those and the cooler are the main reasons dan wants to do a custom console lol
Can't wait to see the finsihed product. Completely agree on works in progress....they never look good until they're done. Also that outro was hilarious 😂 Good mic on that camera
This is making me want to build a custom console for my Tahoe !!!! Don’t forget to put a wireless charger in yours. That’s one thing I’m going to add to mine😀
Not too sure if you will even read this but I have watched SO MANY of your videos and am also a tradesman and maybe and idea would be sweet to have outlets or USB ports on the sides in the back for charging. Just a thought! You are the man!!!
Dan you should mount the monitors on the ceiling it seems easier than to mess with the ceiling and headliner, could make it where they can be angled down to where they’re perfect to see, it be easier to hide the cables in the headliner too
The technique you used on the table top router is the exact technique we us in the car audio industry. The only advice I have is to use double stick tape to stick the pieces together NOT THE FOAM STUFF the super thin double stick tape. The foam moves and doesn't provide the straightest edges. Also it may benefit you to look into mobile solutions router templates! Stay awesome though feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions
Hey Dan. I'm sure you have already heard this suggestion by now seeing is how it's exactly 2 months later, and I just found this video - but yeah, TEMPLATE tape. Car audio fabricators use this all the time for their builds. Keep up the great vids!
I know you aren't as big as you were back in the day with the go go fuel, but you're looking pretty big up there around the neck with them muscles Danny boi. So proud of my little man
This video was great to watch fried cause the music was bangin and I occasionally just got soothing Dan explanations. Can we get a Dan design work asmr video next?
Hey buddy you did the right thing using a pice of wood for a fence on the router table I have a car audio shop and that's what we do alot when building custom sub boxes ,consoles and door panels great job buddy can't wait to see the finished product if Atlanta wasn't so far from bradenton I would come give you a hand
The only difference between this router setup Dan, and how a wood worker would do, is they would have a dust collection system to pull the saw dust away as you worked. Oh, and also the piece of scrap as a fence, as long as the wood wasn't going to be naked, they would do the same.
Can't stress enough I love your videos, and watching your shit come together. With the monolog voice overs. You remind me of an old furniture building show id watch as a child
You design around the fastener so basically if you think about being able to take it apart you hide the fasteners under moveable bits that way they are accessible but not an eyesore(think like plugs on those cheap toilet paper holders and towel bars as bad examples) so I say make a snap in type panel thats moveable and held in with screw joints from the inside of the box. Or basically make the structure a skeleton and the pretty bits hold onto that structure from inside like ar15 accessories on rails and stuff
I’m sitting here questioning Dan like “dude that console is massive” but honestly Dans never let me down so keep killin it bro. Fuckin love all your work.
You might try attaching the shop vac to a spot somehow like a donut around the table lathe to clear the debris from any work you do which would help alot with the heavily dusty and dangerous materials...
Hi Dan I just wanted to say and ik you don’t care but the stock bumper would look amazing on the truck or even a ranch hand. But the one you built looks amazing for the first time ever building one
Dan love the learning mid way through the video respecting tools is a must, well done mate small suggestion extraction for the router in particular possibly an overhead solution would help, much love my guy love seeing the shit your doing very cool
dubble sided tape with blue painters tape on the pieces, sticks better then screwing it, and removes really easyly thats how stacking when flush trimming is usualy done
Loving the progress brother! It's gonna be sick! You said you're gonna vinyl wrap it, do u think you'll have to countersink and putty the fasteners to get it smooooove
I feel like I grew up with you. Bought a CBR because of you. Also I didn’t buy a H2 becuase if your scared of the power with your crazy ass I know I ant riding that shit. But also I feel like maturity wise I’ve grown with you and I love watching these vids even tho I don’t even wood work at all.
instead of using screws to secure the straight edge try using blue painters tape on both surfaces and then supergluing them together. lets of woodworkers use this method when templating
I like how dan just kinda feels like a homie instead of a youtuber
Dan is a homie
Underrated comment
Thats cause we are homies
Sick so ill just uh come over for a beer maybe a joint or two?
Life complete btw I've been a fan since you crashed the r6? I believe? Or the f4i whatever i wanna say that was the first video I watched. Keep on keepin on man you give me motivation to shit one main reason why I watch.
Dan’s skills are so under appreciated. Dude can go from full resto build to wood working like it’s nothing
It’s been cool to see Dan progress an learn. From epoxy tables to this plasma table shits dope an keeps me motivated to learn new stuff
I’m so happy for you man. For a while there I was worried you were going to get too overwhelmed with all of the projects (not that I doubted you could do them all). You’re killing it bro
TH-cam must be paying well if Dan has plywood money!
Sometimes I can't believe this is the same guy that while being higher than Kilimanjaro, grilled chicken at 3am and talking about the universe and just generally making everybody who watched that video feel so much better about themselves. Thank you Dan for all that you do❤️
Yo bro! We dropped Vlogs at the same time. Great minds… well idk what they do but our minds def think alike!
Sup fooligan
I thought about dropping one (I was suppose to), but didn’t. So all 3 of our minds think alike - but my body was like “nah, maybe tomorrow”. 🤦🏼♂️
Dan: “fuck an intro!”
also Dan: *immediately does an intro*

congrats on the truck man!
Named Dakota and buys a Ram........ missed the mark by just a bit. Lol congrats man
@@Burnz. Thanks!

Left another video to come straight to this! DIWD for the win!
Same
Congruity? You think I watch for congruity and chronological order? Nah Dan, I watch cause I like you, your channel, and the shit you do. Been around since before your R6 crash and won't be going anywhere till you stop uploading.
I like you too
the only three things dan is a master at,
1.Driving
2.Building badass designs
3.Rocking A Badass mullet
Dan I would just like to say I love the way your video/editing skills have grown it's become super relaxed and just chill. I actually fell asleep watching you video earlier and had to re watch the whole thing

Ohhhhhhh BILLLLYYYYY that fitment is perfection Dan!
Dan, helpful trick. Use a light colored sharpie for your sketching, then use the black sharpie for when you clean up your lines. Helps seeing your lines better while cutting
I’ve been doing it with Dan for years now and I still love doing it with Dan. 😉
I swear Dan does not get recognized enough on TH-cam, He has an awesome talent of just figuring shit out and it coming out great looking
I'm home sick with the rona so I can work on any of my projects because I'm so tired and dizzy and oddly cold yet hot. Watching this made my day way better.
I love how human Dan is! You can definitely tell he is the same on camera and IRL

I think these building/designing vids are some of the best!
Thanks for the 2am depression distraction.. lifes hard and youre refreshing to see dan
This video makes me happy in ways I cant quite explain, it's exactly what I needed today, thanks Dan!
I feel like this is the perfect time to sneak in a nice little hidey hole in that beast of a center console, yakno, for candy or something you might not want to share with others.

I swear you and Gingium are the best people on TH-cam bro fr, and Justin
Dan great job. I've really learned some tips!!!
Its lookin friggin sweet, id look into all the different attatchments and accessories for the router, you can do some pretty crazy stuff with em
Not too sure if you will even read this but I have watched SO MANY of your videos and am also a tradesman and maybe and idea would be sweet to have outlets or USB ports on the sides in the back for charging. Just a thought! You are the man!!!
Thanks for uploading today, made my day better and I needed that.
Watching this in the background of reading a book on overcoming anger, I have to say… I’ve never been this relaxed

Dan, with all the extra space, and I have not finished the video yet, but you could fit a sub for sure in there!
Dan it already looks great man, keep up the awesome work!
Great way to end my night was watching Dan keep up the work your killing it!!
I know you aren't as big as you were back in the day with the go go fuel, but you're looking pretty big up there around the neck with them muscles Danny boi. So proud of my little man
Cant wait for the finish with the starlight
Those sonic saws are the shit! Used one to install a stove/oven and a microwave. They’re awesome for tight spots and give great straight cuts.
can't wait to see the final product love the vids Dan
Man i love this project, keep it up Dan.
Fooligan & DIWD uploaded at the exact same time... sorry Fooligan, you'll have to wait 🤣

as a woodworker myself this is more or less how i would have done it too. great job Dan
Outro was golden 👌

Nearing the end. And now imma cry cause it's over hahaha
I'm actually loving this project 👌👌

Watched till the end and loved it.
I had a thought for the inside of the center console you could do an epoxy based internal to make it have the resiliency of the original plastic
Taking some dabs and watching Dan. A good day indeed 😌
The background music is the vibe
Dan @ 0:03 : "I hate doing intros!!"
Also Dan @ 0:59 : "Done with the intro!"
HAHAHA... All good Dan! We gotchu!
I can’t help but feel like it would be cool as hell to drink a few beers with Dan
You do killer work. Integration of a wireless phone charger would be dope up front.
Dude Dan you should make the console into a sub box that would be sick
Dan at 11:12 is me drawing cars in first grade
I always go to dan for motivation to work on some of my shit, you really help man!
I like how he say he doesn’t wanna do a intro but then does a intro🤣🤣 gotta love him
Not the very first person to make the table saw thing but def not the last it works and thats all that matters
Hi Dan I just wanted to say and ik you don’t care but the stock bumper would look amazing on the truck or even a ranch hand. But the one you built looks amazing for the first time ever building one
Integrate a spot for your ccw on the side of the console man! It would be dope to have a spot specific for your daily carry
God dang this was satisfying af
Love the counsel Dan. It’s gonna turn out to sick! Keep up the good shit Dan! 🤙
Dagnabit Dan I need to be replacing the floor pan right now but I'm sitting here watching you build a rad center console
Dan: no intro
Also Dan: I'm done with the intro
Dan I got the diesel big truck project bug lol love the videos!!!!! Keep em coming!!!!!!
Are you still planning on using the epoxy center console lid that you used or is the epoxy phase over?
Good stuff Dan! Would love to meet you in person one day, hopefully we cross paths!
Trucks about to be the smokemobile.
Make a mount for the vaccum whilst you use the router it should pick up most of the dust and reduce the clean up
Dan love the learning mid way through the video respecting tools is a must, well done mate small suggestion extraction for the router in particular possibly an overhead solution would help, much love my guy love seeing the shit your doing very cool
that ending was so funny
Dan, you could try to use a RaspberryPi for the "gaming console". They're pretty capable, especially the newer models.
dubble sided tape with blue painters tape on the pieces, sticks better then screwing it, and removes really easyly thats how stacking when flush trimming is usualy done
they use it with super glue instead of dubblesided tape a lot too
Banger of a video.
Loving the progress brother! It's gonna be sick! You said you're gonna vinyl wrap it, do u think you'll have to countersink and putty the fasteners to get it smooooove
Dan: i hate intros
Also dan: this intro was done at the end of the video
Attach the shop vac hose to a hole flus near the bit and use it in tandem to suck that shit up while cutting!
So satisfying
Trans-am more like trans-dan
I loved the jazz that shit was kicking. I hope life is good for you bro. I know nobody asks how you are. I love your builds. #notabuild
This video did wonders for my mental health at 38, you have no idea bud. *THANK YOU!* My gf thanks you too
a little bit a super glue on your screen. Pull any loose or sticking out glass first.
Wont hurt the display.
Tape will just come off.
I'm going to try to build my own. Lets see if I just put the original back in.
We going to see another epoxy top to it like the old one? Maybe to match the roof?
instead of using screws to secure the straight edge try using blue painters tape on both surfaces and then supergluing them together. lets of woodworkers use this method when templating
less screws and some good double sided tape will work grate then no holes to fill or cover up
Dan you a real one for playing San Andreas dawg
what's up Dan, watching the video now.
You can def put in at least 6 cup holders in there, but you probably have different priorities
