Fascinating how this works and explained very well to both the non technical and the technical. Although I'm the latter group this really is a marvel of horological engineering.

Thanks for the clear explanation of how this functions. I think it's cool technology, though I wonder if a smaller version of these watches will be released. It being all dial made the 43.5mm size feel too bulky on my 7 inch wrist. It technically fits, but the proportions don't look right.
I own one of the DNA models. Great watch, wonderful to behold in operation. And thanks to me not liking the proprietary rubber strap and anchoring mechanism, there is now a resin adapter available for the DNa models to allow you to use conventional straps, NATOs, or bracelets. I made a video of this on my channel.
love that this one is getting some attention! I own the spaceview 2020 and I get the most compliments when wearing this one. I think these are super unique and honestly wear well despite what most say abt it’s size and I have a 6.25 in wrist I think with the skeleton it works well with the size of the watch. I think when watches look too small it looks too feminine on a man’s wrist
I have the spaceview 2020 and despite its bigger size it wears well I must say. I think the larger size works well with the overall style of the watch. I have a 6.25 in wrist and I think it wears great. It’s something not talked enough abt in reviews. You gotta see one in person if you like spring drive these are super neat.
It does give you something that hasn't been seen before in wristwatches, but bear in mind that -- without the electrostatic stage show -- this is similar to a Seiko Kinetic; It is using a rotor for generating power and a quartz movement & capacitor for the timing. When they introduced these a few years ago, they were very mum about that rotor, making people think that electrostatic was doing all the work. Which is nonsense, if you think about it: If this was credible for power generation, surely some other watchmaker would have R&D'ed it already. So, a little buyer beware: All servicing, including running down the capacitor power, has to be done in Tokyo, in their dust-free lab. I'm not saying don't. But I am saying that the marketing for these hasn't been completely transparent.
Okay is this made by Bulova? Because the symbology that this is using is bulova's symbol of the two-pronged fork I'm just curious it seems to me that if they're not together or if they have nothing to do with each other that's then infringement on trademark rights😢
Love Accutron and the tech is cool on this, but this watch isn't desirable. It is far too big, making it look like an Invicta. They would have had greater success if this was an addition to a revitalized line of tuning fork watches.
Wish this had a smaller case size ala vintage Accutrons…

I agree - Amazing watch, but it's at a comical size, making it a poor choice for Accutron to reignite the brand with this.
Thank you. Finally someone explaining how it works. Cool watch.
Glad it was helpful!

Right on
So good 👌🏻
Thank you 🙌

So cool
If they manage to whittle it down to a more acceptable case size, it would sit nicely next to my Spring Drive. :)

Very cool....till you get to the $3k-$4k price.
Cool advertisement.
Thanks!
I hope you are being ironic.. The "it's a conversations piece" in the smooth coffee commercial tone made me puke a little in my mouth 😀

I want it
Looks cool, but seeing a cost of $3500-$4000, which is out of my price range. Prefer the Jet Star with brown and gold dial, cost around $400.
Cool piece of history, but “never before used in a wristwatch” should have been qualified with “60 years ago” (yes, I know they say it later)

Same parent company yes!
@@wornandwound cool I love Bulova

Just a shame it's the size of a dinner plate.
Strong pass. Overdone Quartz watch
