- Last weekend I attended a track day (of sorts) for zokusha, shakotan, Kaido Racer, etc... type cars. There were lots of slammed, classic Japanese cars on display, in action, and a lot of tire smoke, too. There were a few highlights, but the one I'll be focussing on here is the patinaed GX61 Toyota Cresta. It'd been sitting a while in Takeshita Racing's yard for a bit, but the results speak for themselves.

That was just an awesome orgy of zokusha /kaido racers! It's good to see some of those cars are still alive after all these years! For instance the one with the multi takeyari has been around for more than one and a half decades!
It's funny to see the shape of the insane spoiler remain as dirt on the boot of the Mark II! I think it must have been a real beauty some decades ago!
Also the Soarer with the blown tire, i though at first the rims were the same Almex Y3b that I have on the AE86, but pausing the video a few times convinced me they aren't. Do you have any close up photos of those rims?
yeah haha, but if i remember correctly the markII with the multi takeyari used to be in different color...several times at this point haha. the outline of the spoiler on the cresta catched my eye aswell. id guess it may also had a sharknose/longnose at some point, given to the dirt/rust outline at the bonnet haha

Some simply amazing cars this time! Kinda disappointing to see some of the trailered in, but I suppose the modifications make it so driving would be nearly impossible. Plus I guess that would take some of the road-legal requirements away. It just strikes me as sad because they are built to the 1970s and 80s style and back then you had no choice but to drive them. Well, I guess I'm assuming. Maybe they trailered them back then too. At least make the tow rigs Dekotora!

Ever see any first generation M10 Nissan Prairie's?
Zero. Zero 2ng gen, and only a few 3rd generation Prairies in the last few years. Not me, but Japan do not give a hoot abt the Prairie. I'm yet to see proof even a single M10 still exists in Japan. No doubt there's some M10 maniac fan out there, but am yet to see.
@@wasabicars There is one at a dealership in Japan. It is an 8 seater with the 4 speed manual column shifter.

Hey Dan, long time subscriber here.. From Toowoomba QLD, I live about 3km from Goleby's Parts seeing some of the Nissan's in this video reminded me of a Nissan silhouette that I see getting around from time to time, it looks immaculate and goes pretty darn hard!
