The graphics of this game are precious for the console of that generation, I loved this game, I'd give a lot to have him back, I spent beautiful moments with my dad during my childhood

Absolutely, this game for me was the game I first played on the original xbox in my teenage years. Good ol' memories. I still have the game in my collection along with NG2, NG3, and NG3RE. I hope someday we get Ninja Gaiden 4.

The cut scenes in NGB have always been my favorite of any game. I remember I’d always get so excited when a cutscene was coming. They’re so good.
Man, I can't believe how well these cinematics hold up. Even today, the models, texture detail, and animation are incredible. More than that, the cinematography is really outstanding. I think I'm gonna have to dig up my 360.

I’ve no idea how the graphics for the cutscenes were so good at the time the game was released in 2004. I’ve never seen a game with such good graphics back in those days aside from Team Ninja. These cutscenes still stand up today

@@aninjaguardian Excuse me. Did you use the disc of Japanese version? I can read English subtitles but I can't read Japanese subs. I want to buy a disc. But in my country, there are more Japanese disc than others.

One of my favorite games of all time and my favorite character Ryu Hayabusa. Also Rachel is my favorite female video game character ever since she debuted back in Ninja Gaiden.
I finished it on normal. It was great. Epic. Hard. Intense. Wonderful. I started it again in hard mode and I'm at the chapter 7. I don't know if I'll finish it one day. But I'm proud to have this game! Alma appearance in the cathedral reminds me medievil with the boss in the church
At the end of the scene where Alma saves Rachel, it seems to imply Alma opening her eyes after her Fiend form is destroyed. My question is was that her final action before she died or did she survive, because it would be pretty awesome to have human Alma come back and tag team with Rachel as a Fiend Hunter.
Alma died after saving Rachel.

@@thetruej7872 they pretty much butchered the gameplay to tell an absolutely shit story. And if you're asking about what happens in the story... I'll share the alcohol with the dude above yor comment.
Even though I love Ninja Gaiden04 and Black, there are some inconsistencies. How Gamov survived or teleported away when he decides to jump off Han's Bar rooftop? We never get to see that again and decided to not use his ability to survive Fiend Murai when he slashes him with the Dark Dragon Blade. Also, how Gamov knew about Doku when he is a spy working at Vigoor Empire's Internal Affairs Bureau? How is he aware of Fiends and their hierarchy? Why Nicchae, Ishtaros and Marbus were never sent to stop Ryu just like Alma and Doku did? Why Doku did not wear his armor after being slayed by Ryu first time? Why the curse went away after killing the Vigoor Emperor? Either if it went away because he was the source of every Fiend, then why did not have effect on Murai later on? If this is not true, then why it went away? Also Ryu was fighting against the Emperor and Murai was above him. Why Murai did not help the Emperor if he wanted Ryu to die?

Ryu Hayabusa is and always will be the baddest mothafuckin ninja ever. When itegaki left tecmo, ninja gaiden series has turned to shit. My fav ninja gaiden games are NG1 NG2 and NGBlack.

the original resolution for the fmv's was 4:3 if I remember correctly, I don't like how the widescreen version cuts off most of the footage

Black and 2 were the best. Razor's Edge was what 3 should have been, and it should have improved upon _that_. Each had something that I liked. Black was nice and polished, and it was hardly ever cheap. It was a beautiful and balanced action game that relied on skill and timing. 2 was even more beautiful and introduced several new mechanics I liked, like Obliteration techniques and new ninpo. Razor's Edge took it a bit further with the mechanics and improved on the comparably weak difficulty of 2, but some of the combo depth was lost, and the lack of weapon choices left me wanting, and the game still feels unfinished.
Here's hoping for a Ninja Gaiden 4...
The graphics looks state in the art. The game is awesome, but a torture fest.

That drove me mad as a kid because the spell changes between the English and Japanese versions. I never figured out what either of them were definitively, though I tried very hard back in the day.

i really dont understand what happend in the cutscene at 4:35
Aside from the obvious stuff like the village is burning, the clan is slaughtered, and Doku has stolen the sword? Kureha, the village priestess wears the Dragon's Eye, the gem that Muramasa later explains combines with the Dragon Sword (Ryu's katana) to form a super weapon. I assume Kureha is desperately trying to explain this to Ryu and/or give him the gem before she dies, but fails to do so. Ryu then loses his duel with Doku and is killed.
Now what happens after that with the falcon is pretty vague. It could be that the falcon is a patron deity of some kind and restores life to Ryu, or that Ryu's true spirit is stored within the falcon in case of his death, or something else.
