once again, the category title is odd and inappropriate in your blog. so you can remove simply by adding following code to the CSS section. depends on the theme right click and visit inspect section to visit inspect element.
type the word display none on to the following category title and see if it work then copy the code and placed in the CSS section.

trying to make this change on a website but its not working, I think its different on my page
seems to be under "span" rather then "h1" but when I try to added the css code to span it takes out the menu bar as well a long with it.
Post titles are also gone with additional CSS method.

if You use this method it only removes the category displayed on the pages, not the entire category. obviously, you don't need to say category on the pages.

this is wrong it will erase the H1 from entire site I guess.
All you did was disable all your heading h1 size throughout your entire site and the inspector is not for permanent changes that is why it is called inspector.
you use inspector to make sure the code work. then put the code on your website css
