In this video we'll have an overview of the U1220, talk about it's position in the budget area of 80s upright vacs, and give it a run in the lounge to show it working.
Per my usual Turbopower rebuild process; the machine has been totally stripped and refurbished to ensure it's in tip top condition. Where I can I like to make these smaller in-use videos so potential bidders can see the machine running before they decide to place a bid.

Lovely wee hoover reminds am a little of the Mrs Doubtfire American hoover
I think Mrs D was using a Hoover Elite and the two machines are indeed close cousins
Hi Steve interesting point about the cost : knowing the Hoover of old, I bet they had soft bags and soft bag assemblies from the TP soft-bag versions left over so thought "use 'em on the Juniors" . What do you think?
Motor sounds like a US Concept One.
The Turbopower is a closely related cousin to the Concept One

Yes that's actually a really good idea, I'd love to discuss that particular machine. Trouble is it's such a risk to move it. One false move and it will quite literally snap in half
@@TheVintageApplianceEmporium yeah be very careful but never seen a close up demo before on this machine I have 2 auto flexes now the first blue one from the first line up and the dark grey autoflex turbo power plus think you have one of these
I once turned one of these on with some of the cord still wrapped around the hooks and just by the bag inflating it broke off the bottom hook! 🤔
Eurgh what a nightmare. Damn those stupid lower cord hooks!
