@@eniderI'm doubtful about that as the 3 big Fear and Hunger creators, (Frap, Rolling R's dude, and Bones) have never brought that up. They will comment on all the broken mechanics, bugs, glitches, dev squares, etc: but never once mentioned anything about coinflips. Even on challenge runs, Frap just spams heads as it's the quickest option for him. I'm sure if he knew a hidden mechanic, he wouldn't do it when items are already a dice roll. Connor just had outstandingly terrible luck, and it was hilarious

So Fack you. For just immediately judging someone who in fact tries to survive in a Horror Hell Dungeon. (Sorry, I just get pissed at anyone if they don't know the full picture)
*sigh* How do I put this . . . diplomatically. She's not very good at seeing beyond her own emotions and beyond her instincts and whether she's personally inconvenienced. People think fear is being jumpscared. Which is a child's idea of fear. The real pain response isn't stubbing your toe. The real pain is the inflammation and what that does to you long term in terms of stress and making injuries take longer to heal. Fear is the same. I've seen streamers straight up say they cope with fear well, because they think fear is the first adrenaline spike. But then their responses show anxiety or locking up and over-fixating on trivial details or empty rituals that don't do anything for them. Mouse kicking the Guard corpse so many times does nothing for her except reinforce the inflammation of the fear. Her screaming about not having a choice is the same. A different streamer I watched playing Dead Space would stare for unreasonable lengths of time at vents. Utterly worthless behavior that does nothing but tilt you. Part of courage is learning to shake off the stubbed toe and live your life in spite of it. There's a kind of Zen acceptance of things that's really hard to teach people. Your problems are real, but your mind doesn't linger on them needlessly. This is the sort of flexibility of mind that deals with fear well. You don't numb yourself to the pain, you just don't overreact to it. She saved pretty twice within basically a half-minute to a minute of encountering the torturer. So there was nothing to lose by experimenting by fighting him. But she was too fearful to hit this realization. And then when asked, repeatedly told Connor she had no choice. This is clearly not true. She ran past his room several times and coin flipped in the same bed despite knowing the consequences. Lore-wise, she's playing a knight that can kill an ogre with some difficulty. So it's not unreasonable to be able to kill a withered old man like the torturer, but I can give her a pass on that. She calls Nosramus an asshole, who is honestly the most chill person in the entire dungeon. Conversational, talks about leaving tea on, doesn't hold it against you when you kill their bodyguard knight with a giant sword barring entry into their home. Instead gives exposition about who they are and what they're doing. Which by the way, she didn't _have_ to pick a fight with the giant knight with a giant sword. She made that decision. That particular fight you have to choose. In Nosramus's shoes I'd have just attacked her with blood magic without talking.
